I am SO sorry I missed Bobbi Boland
#26re: Good Vibrations is CLOSING!
Posted: 1/26/05 at 9:07pmIt must be rather grim, though, when your show hasn't even opened and people are comparing it to the Hindenberg.

I'll just say, not true. And having a pool to guess a closing date is in a word, wrong. Surely a "struggling actor" such as yourself knows the power of karma...
Tommyboyz, you joined this site for the sole purpose of damning the production, fine and dandy it's Amercia-speak out and often, but at least if you are going to make a bile filled cameo get your facts straight.
At present there is NO official plan on closing, and I TRUST my source 110%.
Tiny, stand down or I'll open up a few doors you want kept CLOSED.
Ok, back to The Simple Life!

You're smart.
My friend only went because the tickets were free (the show was papered like crazy). He asked my wife and me to go, but we had the good sense to decline.
The show we saw instead: "The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All", which met with a very similar fate.

You should all be watching "Jack and Bobby" right now.
BTW, Tiny, "Cyrano the Musical" also played more than 100 performances.

If the show opens on February 2, the reviews will be out on February 3. The show won't last past February 6.
It'll be kinda ackward when Caraffa is making the work in progress speech after the show has already been reviewed.

Posted: 1/26/05 at 9:54pmi think it will last till the spring, alot of people like the beach boys music.

Eddie, I admire your taste in music. Hotel California is a great song. Are you pushing for a jukebox musical of the Eagles?
Your source is wrong. The cast got the word today. No announcement will be made until after the reviews come out, but we all know what the critics are going to say.

C'mon Tommy, it ain't the Eagles, it's THE EAGLES, and while I'm not pushing for any more jukebox musicals, I AM pushing for the EAGLES to win the Superbowl.
Again, no official closing date or notice was given to anyone, unless they only told SOME of the cast, or your source overheard a lunch meeting with some of the producers.
Look, Good Vibrations is not West Side Story, but neither was that other beach musical you were so fond of, ah what was it's name again? I forget as it never got past a secondary reading a couple of years ago...now if ya want to take a pool on the Super Bowl I'm here.

1. This would be SO much more entertaining if the two of you would just agree to fight this out in a big ole tub o' jello.
2. Go EAGLES!
#41Eddie, please don't lose your sense of humor
Posted: 1/26/05 at 10:39pmEddie I am not a big athletic supporter like you so excuse me for not recognizing the football eagles. By the way they are not from ny. So who cares. But I do like "Take It Easy".

Midtown! I saw that but didn't want to give him credit for calling me a jock strap, because people usually buy me a drink before doing that..
Tommyboyz, I would give your opinion a bit more validity if you posted about anything other than GV or brought an ounce of positive energy to these threads, the truth is, it's been one big BWW ride down the snarky slide for you young man.
Ok, you first in the tub.

I'm with Ebonic_Singer and Eddie on this one. I don't know who this so-called "reliable source" is, but it shouldn't be taken seriously until OFFICIAL word gets out.
And if you are correct, ah well for the show.
