Hello, my name is Jetteson, I'm 17 and I've been lurking here for a while. Yes, I have read the FAQ page, and yes, I kind of have an idea of what this community is like.
That said, I love Wicked, Cats, and The Phantom of the Opera (and the movie).
I also love Sarah Brightman and Idina Menzel.
Don't discount me yet, though, because really I am a "true" theatre fan and am no stranger to the real culture of Broadway. I just wanted to be clear that it is in fact possible to like mainsream as well as the "richer" theatre.
On tiny glich? I live in England, which isn't so bad, I mean the West End is not something to snark at, but Broadway is...Broadway, you know? I do have the chance to go to the States often though, and actually made a company callback for Hairspray (the staged one in New York City), and no, I am not Equity, I was just really lucky. Though the callback was fruitless because I didn't make it.
My question (I will probably be slaughtered for this) is about High School Musical, if anybody is willing to help. My cousin sent me the DVD for my birthday, and I really love it. I read on USAtoday.com that a sequel is in the works for 2007, and I am dying to audition for it. Anybody who could point me in the right direction somehow would be amazing!
Anyway, thanks for having me, and I can't wait to start posting...inteligent things.

Can't help you with audition advice, but welcome, and don't be discouraged by some of the snarkier posters here. You sound like you're already forewarned, though.
That's great about the Hairspray audition, and best of luck to you.

Hi!
Unfortunately, I believe they're already filming the sequel.
But there'll probably be a third one.
Knowing Disney.
Can't help you, but welcome!

Welcome to the boards!
If there was any audition information out...it would be in a Backstage magazine.

Well hello everybody! What a welcoming group. Thanks for the positive "vibes"! Anyway, I just wanted to say, "Thank you"...for the great "hallows" as we Brits say.
I believe it's around midnight in New York (Eastern Standard Time I believe it's called), so I don't excpect anybody to read this anytime soon, but just thought I would say a thanks again!
Jetteson
Thank you for exhibiting a level of courtesy and respect often lacking in new posters! And, welcome, by the way.
