So I was browsing www.gregoryjbara.com today, and found a list of literally probably a thousand people he would like to thank for his Tony. A particular name popped out at me...it was my own! I can't even begin to guess my reason for being on this list, except for being a huge fan of his, but how would he know me?! This proves that not only is Greg an incredible performer, but also incredible and so personal to his fans.
Just wondering, has anyone else found their name on his list?
That's pretty cool. He always seems like such a nice guy. I was quite red-faced last night because for some reason, I could have sworn he had come out as gay years ago. I have no clue where I got that idea, but I have been assuming for years now that he was gay. Wishful thinking, I guess.
Are you 100% sure that it's not just someone who happens to share your name?

He thanked every single kid from the cast on that list, that was really nice.
I loved how he mentioned Tommy, Tanner, and Frank last night! It was extremely nice of him!!

This is like when we all looked to see what page our names popped up in the Andy Warhol Diaries! Only better, because Andy never did ED or Olive Garden commercials. Love Boat, bah.
Mister Matt, could it be because his character came out in "Victor/Victoria"?
Too funny, my name is on there as well. There is no chance that it's someone elses either.
Seriously. How many people are named cglaid?
CATS, I'm pretty sure I'm just about the only person in the world with my name
That was the classiest thing I've seen in a long time.
I've known a handful of stars over the years, including one Tony winner and what always comes up in conversation after the show? How their spouse has to see the kids off to school, get up, do breakfast and handle homework, as well as single handedly take them to recitals and soccer games. Alot of times this happens while the actor is rehearsing one show during the day and performing in another at night. My respect for Greg just went up about 100 points. Always thought he was a sweetie, now it's confirmed.
Reg - I thought it might have been the Victor/Victoria thing, but I knew that was just a character. I must have fused it with some other memory of perhaps his Dirty Rotten Scoundrels video diary and happily married the two or something. It's a shame, as I had already fantasized IMAGINED! I had imagined he would be an awesome gay guy. He's still awesome, but I need time to adjust. It's sort of like reading a novel with the character Mendel Finklestein and halfway through, someone casually mentions he's African-American.
Marc Kudisch is still gay, right?
Marc Kudisch is still gay, right?
Not unless his breakups with Kristin Chenoweth and Felicia Finley caused him to change teams.
... or unless he's closeted. He's been with some chick for like 5 years now.
Chris Sieber is happily out and proud.
I'm on there - along with my knickname in quotes. No question about that one!
Any man who brings his wife on stage with him to thank her personally for helping him with his career shouldn't surprise you with his gratitude and kindness to his fans.

Isn't that nice to know?
My name is not on there. What a rat!
lol, jk....there is no reason why my name should be on there
I'm on there. =D
Btdubs my name is not Rose Addams.
See? I suck at this. I never know what's going on. Nathan Lane is probably married to Cherry Jones and they fathered Will Swenson. I'll just go with that for now.
Greg is an incredible guy. my name is on the list too. and I'm just a lowly fan. :)
He's a real classy guy. And a great talent.
His speech was wonderful last night.
A friend from the board pointed out that I am thanked on there too!
I have so much respect for him, that list is so thoughtful!

I thought it was so sweet of him to honor his wife. BUT - his wife's dress, oh my.I was hoping she wouldn't jump up and down with excitement and have a wardrobe malfunction.
His Drama Desk acceptance speech mentioned something about this; he said he wanted to thank everyone who has ever been a part of his life or work, but that in the interest of time, he would be posting a list of names on his website. He talked about having people e-mail the website, so he would be able to put them up there, so my assumption is that if you're a fan who's written to him, you're up there.
What a thoughtful thing to do for fans. It is nice to see performers go the extra mile for fans even if it is unnecessary. Way to go, Mr. Jbara!
