I don't think it works. I inserted it for Sunday, May 5 and I got nothing

This evening was electric. Currently waiting outside by the stage door because we were told there was a “surprise”

The $49 tickets they're referring to are the balcony seats, and they don't require an offer code.

Anais came out with a man I didn’t quite recognize, might’ve been the music director , and led some folk song that nobody recognized. That was it haha. Cute but not quite worth the cold

Can you tell us ANYTHING about the show besides "electric"?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Yeah.  Let’s get some details.  How did the show go?

Was it Michael Chorney? I’m sure people knew the music. She has quite a following.

What would you like to know? It was a pretty incredible production, and the audience was basically applauding non stop, from beginning to end. Lots and lots of changes since I saw it at NYTW and i think they really managed to deepen the show. Patrick Page, André de Shields and Amber Grey had the audience eating out of their hand, Eva was incredible strong and Reeve was satisfactory. Was really interesting to see how the characters have transformed, it was like a completely different Orpheus and Hermes, and a much vampier Persephone. Staging amazing, many gasp worthy moments. Fates were much more threatening , and their costumes were fabulous.

There was one scene in the underground I found a bit cringey, when Hades discovers Orpheus in the underworld. The choreography didn't quite work for me there.

I don't think it was Michael Chorney, this man was bald. I figured it mightve been an Anais song, my friend who likes folk music wasnt familiar with it.

They also handed out (fake) red flowers on your way out

Do they all still spin/walk round and round in circles for the entire 2nd act?

They do walk on the turntables quite a bit in the second act but I wouldn't say 'entire'. I felt like it was an appropriate usage

Much tighter and more coherent compared to the london production. Will do a full review tomorrow. Aside from one or two small things, the show is in incredible shape

Wow. Wow wow wow wow.

I may be biased as I have been following the growth and development of this show since the very first concept album, but what I saw tonight was honestly one of the most impressive, innovative pieces of theatre I have ever witnessed.

Everything works in sync to keep your mouth agape from the very first moment. The lights, the costumes, the set (holy #%*! the things they do with that set!) are all SUPERB.

Things have been tightened up since London; Orpheus, in my opinion, is more fleshed out and sympathetic than he ever has been before. He feels more like a leading man. Contrary to what people have been expecting, Reeve gave a fantastic performance, in my opinion. Eva and Patrick were also stellar.

Amber Gray truly steals the show, though. Every movement she makes is the work of a master. I'm not sure how exactly to describe a performance of her caliber, except to say that it must be seen.

Andre was, to me, the weakest link. His performance felt a bit wooden, a bit too rehearsed; which I fully believe is the case since about five minutes in he forgot his lines and a stagehand had to yell them to him from the wings. Yikes.

Not much has been changed music or story-wise that does not serve to benefit the show; my only complaint is that they cut nearly half the lyrics in Epic III, and I don't understand why. It's still an incredibly moving number, but they removed some of the heart.

I'm not sure how else to put it other than GO GET YOUR TICKETS NOW.

(Also, Patrick did reveal at the stage door that they will be recording an OBCR!)

Also forgot to mention--if for no other reason, go see this show for "Wait For Me" alone. The way they have staged this brought me to tears.
