I know that on the TDF website, it says 'Hair' was on the TKTS board last week, but does anyone know, specifically if it is likely to be on for a Saturday matinee or evening performance (if so, where the seats would be)?
Also, has the lotto been tough on weekends? Anyone done SRO? Thanks!

This past Saturday, the 4th of July, Hair was on TKTS for the last row in the theater. My wife is disabled, so we passed on them. My experience is that it will only be on TKTS in the rarest of circumstances.
so maybe its better to just to lotto for the matinee (and evening if i dont' win)...
I've now failed lotto 6 times (9 if you include my mom, sister, and friend coming along to help). I say go for standing room! It's almost always SRO, especially on weekends, and it's a great time! I even failed at the extra Friday (7/3) matinee! Either I have no luck, or it's just tough
You may also want to consider standing room. Standing room tickets are only sold when the performance is otherwise sold out, which most performances are.
My friend went the other day and did standing room and got to sit.
Seriously, don't waste your money on those horrible obstructed view lottery seats. Standing room for the show is fantastic and you still get the audience interaction if that's what you're after.
SRO view is perfect you miss practically nothing. i mean you don't see the audience interaction in the mezzanine but nether does the orchestra.go for it.
The last time I saw the show, the cast had great fun with the standing room people.
If you get standing room, just understand you will probably interact with the cast at some point. Just so you know.
You get to see everything, and I ended up sitting. I almost went back to standing because there was a little more interaction than where I ended up sitting (aisle right row s) my foot hurt so I stayed seated, but I highly recommend standing room
hmm...I won the lotto a couple months ago and had a great view...what it just a fluke?
Does SRO ever sell out? I'd like to go for a Wednesday matinee, but I won't be able to get to the theater until probably 1:00.
SRO is limited. There are a limited number of tix that the theater can sell. Fire laws.
However, I cannot verify whether the SRO tix sell out.
Sometimes SRO tix go on sale when the box office opens and are sold out before lotto, sometimes they don't go on sale until after the lotto happens, all depends on how sold out the show is. I've had both happen to me.
I've had good luck with lotto winning once for me and my friend won once as well. Though when i went the lotto seats we got were last row of the box and well me and my friend are really short and the guy in front of me thought Hair was a good time to cuddle with his girlfriend so he obstructed 90% of the stage. The usher even gave us booster cushions and they didn't even help. The cast interaction was fantastic though! I think I'm gonna try for standing room next time. I usually hate standing for that long, as I've got weak ankles, but I think I'd do it for Hair!
Good luck :)
thanks all! 1 more question - is the theater very deep? aka are the SRO spots far from the stage?
it's not too deep. it's even with what i think is row T. there are either 9 or 10 spots available. it's totally worth it, if not better than some other places to sit(and pay $100 more). for lotto it really depends on where you sit.

How are the seats in the mezz (interaction-wise)? I have row B, center mezz on the aisle. Thanks
