Not bad. it will def. get some attention with the bright colors.
and somethingwicked - thanks. That is what I was referring to. Any idea why she is being recast? I didn't care for her vocals at all. After hearing Bean's version at the Actor's Fund, I was just totally disappointed.
Ugh, I'm so curious to see how the staging will be different from the Central Park version. It seems like a risky move. The reviews this past summer but there's no way to take that production and put it into a Broadway house without it loosing something. I just hope the creative team and cast, can someone replace what they're loosing with something better. .... if that makes sense?

I like the poster! I also think Groff not being in it won't hurt the box office. This show is aimed at a demographic that probably wouldn't care who plays Claude as long as he is played well.
I seriously doubt this show will go the way of Godspell. It has already gotten the rave reviews from over the summer, great buzz, and IMHO is a better show.

Yes, I'm all for getting someone fresh for Claude! Although I did like Christopher Hanke.
RentBoy and somethingwicked, "Sheila Franklin" is actually a separate song, not a part of "I Believe in Love." They just combined those two songs for the Actors' Fund recording.
Also, I'm disappointed with the logo. Mostly because the correct title of the song is "Let the Sunshine In" (as in we should let in the sunshine) and not "Let the Sun Shine In" (as in the sun is shining in). People always seem to misquote that...

Almost. It's aimed at a demographic that probably won't care who plays Claude as long as he is hot.

"She loves protests in the park
Like I said, she's Joan of Arc
Sheila Franklin
Sheila Franklin"
I love that song... and "Reading the Writing". Any other fans of the Disinhairited LP?

Posted: 11/21/08 at 10:08amThis makes me sad. I really wanted to see Groff as Claude again, but I'm just glad I got to see him. I liked him better than Hanke, but it would be nice to see someone new take over the role. I remember people on these boards saying the transfer was only happening because of Groff. Guess not.

Posted: 11/21/08 at 10:14amI won't really miss his acting, but I was really looking forward to the OBC recording with Groff. Is there a recording of him anywhere singing Where Do I Go?

No, it's aimed at an older demographic who likely doesn't even know who Jonathan Groff is! The people who will flock to see Hair will be the 50 and 60 somethings who actually lived it in the 60's.
Oh, and Caren will definitely not be in the cast. She's going to be touring with Rent.
