Has anyone followed this saga? She seems to be trying to make it into a Broadway ensemble at 56 and has been documenting some unsuccessful auditions, etc.

I applaude the later in life career change dream even if it seems like she's got a tough road competing against younger, more legit dancers.
So this is what Jill Stein does the other 3.5 years she's not pretending to run for president lol.

There have been older Roxie Harts -- so ya never know!
Did not watch her TikTok so I have no idea if she's even marginally talented...
Well, she DID get a chance to be part of the CHICAGO ensemble on Broadway about a year ago:
Here’s a profile on her CBS Mornings did on her several months ago:

I'm rooting for her!
She's trying something really hard (breaking in to Bway at ANY age) and doing it really well by trying unconventional methods (social media). She's building a name for herself, generating buzz and attention for herself, has a very positive and inspiring outlook, and I'm sure we'll be seeing her in various capacities for a while.
Keep it up Kim! You chase those dreams!
Exactly. She's chasing her dreams and bringing a social media audience along with her. Her followers are learning first hand about how the industry works and she's keeping a positive outlook that can still inspire through setbacks and frustrations. I'm not sure what the future holds for her (none us of really know), but I'm happy to see her progress when her videos pop up on my feed.

Same! Definitely rooting for her, can't wait to see it happen. Chicago seems the most obvious show, but she mentioned somewhere that the producers do not agree. Not sure exactly what that means.
Also, keep in mind, she’s a dancer not an actress. She’s pursuing dance work in Broadway ensembles - she’s not pursuing a career as a musical theater actress. Roxie and Velma in CHICAGO are actress-dancer roles so they require more than just dance skills. Kim is strictly a dancer.

I thought CHICAGO gave her a chance for one evening? I’m guessing it didn’t generate the ticket sales they were hoping for?

She danced in the ensemble - she didn’t play a role or was advertised and promoted to encourage ticket sales. She did the pre-Overture “ladies and gentlemen…” introduction and danced in the ensemble for just one performance.
