Is it possible to get 3 seats together if you have more than one person purchasing tickets?

Probably no guarantees, but they announced if you want to sit together, go to the window together. The 3 girls behind us in line got three together. Did the rush this past Saturday. Not sure how many were in line in front of us, but we got there at 9 am and were right by the stage door. 2 show days may be easier...obviously.

Anyone know if they have the rush tix for Sunday matinees as well? And what time? The official website says rush tix go on sale each morning at 10am, which would be correct for Tues - Sat. But I figure Sundays (if they're offered) would go on sale at noon, when the box opens, right?
Any info appreciated. Especially if people can suggest how early to get there on a Sunday morning.

Has anyone rushed recently who can share tips about time to get there, how many tickets are available, and where rush seats may be located in the theatre? I plan on rushing next weekend and always find it helpful to have a good idea of when to get there and what to expect even though life can be unpredictable.
I got rush an hour before the show last Tuesday and was in the box seat. I moved to the front row of the mezz at intermission.
Walked up at around twelve thirty this afternoon and got rush seats for the matinee - "partial view" seats in Row F and G in the orchestra.

Thanks for responding! So it sounds like you no longer have to arrive an hour or two before the box office opens to have some guarantee of rush tickets. Personally I don't mind arriving early, but I'm not sure I can convince my friends who aren't as into musical theater as I am.

My friend and I are planning on going on a Tuesday in November. November 8th to be exact. Will get into the city at 10:30ish (we're taking the train) be good enough to make it for rush or should we catch the earlier one? We don't really care about sitting next to each other if good singles are far apart.
@InwoodGuys: the box office opens at noon on Sundays, and yes, they do have rush for the matinee. :)

Has anyone rushed lately? I wanted to rush on a Friday and was wondering what time I should get there.
I figure because it is getting colder that there will be less people in line but I am still worried.
BUMP!
Thinking of going on December 3, before the tourists start coming in, what time do you think is safe for a two show day?
I have never "rushed" for tickets to a show before, I have done the lottery at several shows. I am planning on trying to get rush tickets to see H2S in December. Do I just go to the box office and ask them if they still have rush tickets available? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I just don't know how you would go about getting the tickets! Thanks for your help!
The rush tickets go on sale when the box office opens (10am. 12noon on Sundays). Once they're out, they're out (though they may do Standing Room Only after). Sometimes you might be able to get rush tickets if it doesn't sell out in the morning but it's not as likely, especially during Daniel Radcliffe's final month in the show.
I just rushed it and thought the lines wouldn't start as early now that it got colder but I was wrong. I'd say 9am is safe, but to be really safe, 8-8:30. I got there at 8:15 and was already at the stage door. (It was a Sat with 2 shows available for sale though).
They do however seem to have a lot of rush tickets. And in the summer, I know people who lined up past the Japanese Restaurant still managed to get tickets (on a 2 show day again).

Has anyone rushed this since Thanksgiving? I'm thinking about going on Saturday night and I want to know how early I need to get to the box office.
I went last Wednesday for the evening performance I showed up at 6:30 and got 2 rush tickets. Also prior to the show starting we were told by the users to move into the mezzanine if we wanted to. That particular performance was almost completely empty (in the Mezzanine at least)

For Rush, is there a limit how many tickets one person can get? For Sat Mat/Eve show, can you get both Mat/Eve or you have to choose either show?
It is 2 tickets per person. So I would assume that would include 2 show days, you would have to pick which show and get only 2 tickets to that show.
Have a friend rushing this tomorrow... anyone know what time she needs to get there in the morning?
I rushed it last Saturday and got there at 9:30 and there were over 100 people in front of me and then a ton more behind me and we all got tickets. My boyfriend and I got 6th row after not thinking we would get anything. But if we could have gotten there earlier we would have and since it's Christmas Eve/ a week away from Dan/John's last show, it might be even more packed than usual. Maybe like 7:30/8?

I wonder if there will be a lot people in January. I want to see Darren Criss on stage. It's slow time but then DC's limited run can bring in audiences?
Probably. His limited run is def. going to draw a lot of people. I will be interested hear about Rush when he comes in January.

I'm surprised you were able to get tickets in such a long line, JKlock. My husband rushed this Thursday. He arrived at 10:20 a.m. (I know...). Thirty people were ahead of him, but only the first 20-25 actually received rush tickets.
He really wants to see the show, but we're both out of town now until the 30th. We're going to try rushing Dan's last show. I know it's going to be a madhouse. Think we should get there by 8:30? I believe the box office opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

Are you sure? Some box offices open at 10 a.m. still on Sundays. For example, the Stephen Sondheim opens at that time.
Per Playbill, it's noon...10 am is out of the ordinary for Sundays, most of the other Broadway theaters open at noon.
