I rushed Friday night's performance. Got in line at...maybe 10:05. I sat in a box seat. The view was great. I didn't feel like I missed anything.
Well, I lost the Book of Mormon lotto, then went over to H2$'s box office and they had sold all of their rush seats for today within 20 mins of opening. They only had five seats left at premium price of $302. So, ended up going to Priscilla. It was great!

I rushed today's matinee. Got to the Box Office at about 10:10 and got seat G 13. Fantastic view. All I missed was the stage right side of the set, and whenever the office came on I couldn't see John's face if he was sitting behind the desk. But that was only for a couple seconds really.
I stage doored tonight's performance (Dan doesn't come out after matinees), John Stamos, Kathleen Turner, and Dan's parents were all at this evening's performance. And surprise, surprise, the HP fangirls are ridiculous.

There was a fairly long line, probably 30+ people or so, when I walked by the theatre on the way to work this morning (about 9:30 or so).
The line was quite long - about half a block, up past the Broadway Dance Center - when I got there yesterday. I arrived at around 9:40 (was expecting to get there at around 8:30, but my bus ended up hitting a lot of traffic on my way into the city). I was hoping the rain would keep people away, but no such luck. They ran out of rush seats before I made it to the window, but I really wanted to see the show so I splurged for a $90 seat in the third to last row of the mezz.
Definitely get there before 9am if you want a rush ticket.
This may be a stupid question, but for those of you who have rushed on a Saturday, do they do the matinee and evening all at once? We really want to try for the Sat evening show, but don't want to get there at 8am (or earlier) for nothing. Thx.

I rushed it yesterday--for the first Wednesday matinee offered. I got there at about 7:28 a.m. (no small feat coming in from Jersey), the first to arrive. The next two people arrived within five minutes. By about 7:45 there were at least 10 people, and by 9 a.m. I'd say 35-40 people. But I got Row A, Seats 2 and 4, right off the center side aisle--fantastic seats. Yes, it's a high stage, but we got to see shoe colors now and then. Very well worth my occasionally shivering during those 2-12 hours of waiting.

I dropped by this morning at about 9:45 just to see what it was like, and there were around 40 people. I asked a guy in the front what time he got there. Apparently most people showed up between 7:30-8. I'm assuming the people who showed at 8:30 were fine. So I'd say come before 9.
I'd say try and get there before 9 am...I rushed on a Tuesday and got there at about 8:45 and was 20th in line. I got a seat and I think most of the people behind me did too but people didn't really start to show up till around 9.

We rushed last Saturday. We got there a few minutes before 8 and were probably 50th (!) in line. The only reason we stayed was because it was a two show day. If not, we wouldn't have bothered. We also figured we probably wouldn't get tix, but shockingly we got two for the matinee (the evening was sold out when we got up to the window). The matinee sold out right after us, leaving at least another 50 people in line. We had wonderful tickets though. F 12 & 14. Great view.

A friend got there at 7:30, said there was 4 people in front of her, and that the majority of people came around 8ish.

Did it yesterday (Wednesday). Came at 9 am, was about 30th in line and scored two wonderful side orchestra seats with full view. Try it on Wednesdays, if possible. Two shows make the whole thing a lot easier. Though I gotta say they have a lot of rush tickets compared to other shows. Don't be too easily frustrated when you see a long line when you arrive.

Anyone try within the last week or so? Aiming to get there at 7 on Tuesday and hoping to get tickets. Earliest I can get into Penn is 6:40.

i didn't try it this week, but unless something has changed drastically in the last two weeks, if you get there at 7, you're guaranteed of tickets. I've never been that early so can't say for sure but I'd be willing to bet you'd be first in line.

My sister did rush this morning. She got there at 7am and was first in line. Next group of people didn't get there until 7:30. Started to get crowded after 8am. She got row A seats 2 and 4.
I went last night at literally 7:50pm, and got Rear Mezz Row Q seats and have no complaints on the view, price or the show :)
I went last Wednesday and got matinee tickets around 11? We were in the left box, row C. Perfect seats!
