I was so curious about Trent! If anyone has info about who he's alting as and when, I'd love to know it. I'm missing Lana's first performance but assuming she's performing on Tuesdays, she'll be in when Patrick Page returns (unless she switches with Amber specifically for Patrick's re-debut or something weird like that), and I'm seeing his return. But I'd love to try to catch Trent's first performance!

Lana was on last night/her first official day (Tuesday), Afra is on Thursday 10/14 (7p) and Sunday 10/17 (3p). No official announcement on her set days. Maybe if someone has Instagram and she does a live or q&a ask her.

I believe Afra is still an understudy. Right now, Amber and Jewelle are Persephone understudies. Jewelle was rehearsing Persephone before covid so my guess is Jewelle will go on sometime during Afra’s leave.

Not that I know of! She’s only out 6 weeks so my guess is a project she’s working on.

just saw someone say lana was on wednesday night. afra was scheduled for the matinee but i havent seen anyone say she was there yet. will amber get friday saturday and monday?

Tuesday - Lana
Wednesday - Amber? matinee and evening (until we get confirmation of alternate/understudies)
Thursday - Afra
Friday - Lana
Saturday -
Sunday - Afra

So right now I have tickets for a Thursday night. I really want to see Reeve and Eva and I think chances are pretty good for that. Patrick won’t be back yet and obviously not sure about
Amber. How about Andre de shields because I really hope to see him!! Does anyone know if he usually performs Thursdays?

I would've thought Amber would do Friday/Saturday shows unless that changes in the future/coming weeks. When Afra takes leave, will Lana be the only alternate for Amber?

Yes Lana is the only alternate. 
Jewelle Blackman, prior to covid, was starting understudy rehearsal for Persephone.

Walked past the understudy board today and Lana is on for the mat.

Amber must be off this week.

However, Lana was on at least 3 shows this week (Tuesday, Friday, Saturday matinee) and my guess is Saturday evening too which is more than what the presser said she would be doing. Interesting.

its likely that amber took off this week! i think it will be a good idea for us to judge by what happens next week with the schedule, if you guys are up for keeping track again!

It looks like Andre De Shields took off for yesterday's shows.

As well as Mariand Torres and Jessie Shelton because Khaila and Yaya took over.

Lol and Kourtney Kardashian came to see Hadestown.

Well at this rate I will be happy to see Reeve and Eva and cross my fingers to see Andre. I really wish they would announce the cast for the upcoming month’s shows when possible. I wonder why they don’t do that. Sure things come up last minute but it seems many switches are planned in advance but not announced until last minute. I understand they all work hard and need breaks/vacations!

Honestly I got to a point in 2019 and 2020 when I saw the show that I would get an understudy for someone. That said, all of the understudies are fantastic and I’d actually prefer the understudy over the principal for Hermes and Persephone any day. So regardless of who you get, you’re getting a great show.

I went backstage with Jewelle and mentioned the above and she said that she hopes when she understudies I come see her. That was several weeks before her Persephone rehearsals so I’m waiting until she announced her dates to go.

I’m sure they are all amazing! It’s more me just being a fan geek from listening to the cast recording so many times and waiting for this for so long ha ha! I think Eva’s voice is incredible and I was a Penny Dreadful fan so really want to see Reeve. And I just don’t see how anyone can replicate the personality that Andre brings to the show! I live in Texas so it’s a big deal for me when I go to NYC for shows. I wish I could go all the time and see them all take the stage!
