Paddington at the Al Hirschfeld

... but, if theydidn’tend up going that route …who does everyone want to see in this? Whose your dream Millicent Clyde?

I'm not sure Victoria Hamilton-Barritt will transfer, as she has two little ones, but I do hope she does. If not, I'd love to see Lesli Margherita finally win

2026/2027 Producers Revival?

Steve Martin and Martin Short, I've been saying this for years!

RAGTIME 2025 Reviews

binau said: "Any guesses or rumours for a C levy replacement?"

Erin Davie did Ragtime in Ithaca last year and I really enjoyed her performance. She'd be spectacular. I haven't seen this revival yet though, so I don't know if she'd fit within this production.

DEATH BECOMES HER - Replacement Cast?

This casting is out of left field for sure. Can't wait to see her, she'll be brilliant!

DEATH BECOMES HER - Replacement Cast?

I saw Dee Roscioli as Madeline in mid-August and thoroughly enjoyed her performance. I've always been a fan and was surprised when it was announced she'd be joining the production as a standby. She brings a lot of emotional depth to Madeline, letting the comedy play itself while digging her teeth into the character. Her voice is also unbelievably powerful and melds well with Simard in "Alive Forever". Needless to say, I wouldn't mind if Roscioli were to replace

GYPSY To Close August 17, 2025

binau said: "Anyone see Audra yesterday? How did she sound? It appears she has a cold and she was lamenting it is affecting the range of notes she needs to sing but that she will go on away."

Saw her tonight! She was in excellent voice. Terrific acting and terrific vocals. I cried harder than ever haha

New York City, I Don't Know How To Quit You!

Roman, are you aware that you will be seeing Cole's second to last show (for the foreseeable future, at least)? You are one lucky duck! Wish I could get the chance to see them too, but I just haven't had the time. Anywho, I hope you enjoy your shows; especially your rite of passage to the Ambassador tomorrow. Have fun!

Snubbed but not forgotten - Tony Awards appreciation for unsung cast & creatives

All of these were disappointing, however the only real shock for me was David Thaxton being snubbed for his work in Sunset Boulevard and Chris Sieber for Death Becomes Her. Thaxton's ability to convey one of the most visceral performances of the season was truly remarkable and Sieber's unbelievable comedic timing (especially in the puppet scene) was peak camp. Also, not a surprise but still a disappointment: I really wanted to see Lesli Margherita get nominated. 12 year

producers revival

Steve Martin and Martin Short, but they switch roles each performance

Casting George and Dot in SUNDAY IN THE PARK

Someone mentioned Carmen Cusack way back when this thread was first started, and I second that. Jennifer Simard would also be interesting. I personally would love to see Micaela Diamond, though.

Lin as Alexander Hamilton on SNL tonight (1/26/25)

What on earth would that even be? Hamilton's corpse sitting on a turntable for 3 hours?

AUDRA GYPSY Reviews

Not every show does get a standing ovation mid performance. On Friday, I saw Sunset Blvd and neither of Nicole’s numbers received standing ovations. Patti did not receive a standing ovation for TLWL when I saw Company. Prolonged? Yes, but not standing. Audra’s standing ovation mid-show is unique for me, so I felt it was interesting to state.

AUDRA GYPSY Reviews

Just thought it was interesting. I don’t get into the city much, so this was my first mid-show standing-o.

AUDRA GYPSY Reviews

I was at last night’s performance and the energy in the theatre was palpable. Absolutely insane. I’ve never been a part of such a reactive audience.

I felt Audra was everything I could possibly need in a Mama Rose. Tyrannical and overbearing while also vulnerable and broken. She didn’t really slip into her operatic voice at any point besides the end of “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” and “Rose’s Turn”, which (as a previous p

SUNSET BLVD. Reviews

I was there last night too! Scherzinger is giving one of the best performances I have had the privilege of witnessing on the Broadway stage. Francis, Thaxton, and Hodgett-Young were also incredible. The direction and lighting were striking. The show felt like a horror film towards the end, which is something I have never experienced in live theatre. I was genuinely scared by Scherzinger and Thaxton. I don’t have anything to complain about for this production besides the St. James sight

AUDRA GYPSY Reviews

I hate to be that guy, but do we know the timeline for how long it should take Audra et al to recover. I know that nobody can read the future, but if those familiar with the current cold/flu/virus which is going around could chime in, that would be appreciated.
