I just got this email:
Hello, and thank you for ordering the "Hair" CD from us.
The "Hair" CDs came in, and unfortunately there was an unforseen manufacturing error. We've never run into this problem before, and are terribly disappointed. We are working with our manufacturer to rectify the situation as fast as we can. For those of you who ordered the "Hair" CD along with other items, we're going to ship those items to you ASAP.
We know that you all are the backbone upon which we've been able to move forward and record and preserve the great music that we all love and are passionate about. We are going to keep all of your orders for "Hair" ready to ship the moment the CDs come back from the manufacturer. You will all still be the very first to receive the CD, the nationwide release date is going to be June 14th. Until then, we will keep the CD available only to you, our loyal customers. We are also working up something extra to include with the CDs as a thank-you for your patience and continued support.
We apologize for this inconvenience. We did get the "Bright Lights Big City" recording in, and that is currently shipping out.
Thank you all for all the love and support... we are thrilled to be involved in a number of amazing projects to be released this spring.
Sincerely,
The Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Staff

I was just wondering what was going on with that since it was supposed to come out in March and tomorrow is the first day of april.
Whoa. That's a really late release date.
This SUCKS. I just got the same e-mail, though.
They're usually really prompt, so I figured it had to be something that was out of their hands.

I didn't get the email...now I'm worried.
I wonder how much one of those CDs with the "unforeseen manufacturing error" would be worth...

Awwwwwww!!!!
So does this mean we won't get the cd till June 14??
No, read the e-mail. It says if you pre-ordered it, you'll still get it beforehand.
Even if we get it as much as a month beforehand, that's a long wait. They recorded it in October...i wonder what took them so long to get a release date to begin with.
The anticipation is killing me.

I just wrote them an email to see when they were going to ship the cds and this is what they said:
We're going to get an estimate from the manufacturer of when the corrected CDs will be back, it will be at least a couple of weeks. We'll get them as fast as we can!
So thats it!!

Which is precisely why it is ILLEGAL to charge someone's credit card for something that is not being shipped at the same time. They made a BIG boo boo in doing that and really need to figure out the deal between themselves and CCNow.com, who "Received" my order in February, but "Shipped" which apparently to SHkBoom means "Charged" it on 3/17.
Is it really *THAT* difficult to mass-burn CDs? Seth posted WEEKS, probably close to 2 months ago that the 'final master mix' was going to the CD duplicating people. Well DAMN! At this point I'd be happy with a copy burned on a personal computer with "Hair Concert Cast" written on it in Sharpie marker.
This whole thing has turned into a big joke. This was recorded in I'm sorry, what, October? We're looking at 6-8 months after that to mix and produce the CD? Get your ish together people. At this point I am so tired of failed promises that I almost don't even care anymore.
But...but what if I didn't get an email?
Yes, I am sad that I didn't get the CD. Yes, my $20 odd dollars is lingering somewhere. However, it's a CD. Calm down, guys. Life will go on if you don't get a CD for another three days. I think phrases like "tired of all of these failed promises" is a bit extreme when referring to the arrival date of an audio disc.

Look, I don't think you should get snippy. SH*T happens. Personally, I'm just thrilled that it was recorded in the first place. The artists didn't *have* to do this, and I'm pretty sure they volunteered their time. I'm bummed, but I'm still greatful that there is a cd that we will be getting. All I'm saying is try to keep things into perspective. It's coming...
No, this is totally and absolutely the worst thing that could ever happen. I am truly destroyed by this news and life is no longer worth living.
And...and if we didn't get an email?
E-mail Sh-k-Boom. They'll write you back.
If you didn't get an email, you get one of the malfunctioning cds.
Does it light up and do tricks?
It spins out of the cd player, decapitating all in the room.
Whee! I'll let y'all know!
hopefully I won't blow up.
I didn't get an e-mail either. I just want my music, man! At least I'll get BLBC soon but the waiting is killing me!

What the &*%#! I know it's not necessarily their fault, but come on people.
Woo HOO! Didn't get the cd, but I did get the email! Now I feel included.
Actually, it was there the whole time, but hotmail was trying to keep me safe, and filtered it.
