I don't really like Amanda as Penny. I can't imagine her looking awkward. She's just too pretty.

ok, this is random... Awhile back I did this drawing of the Sailor Moon girls as if the show took place in the early 60s...and what Amanda is wearing as Penny in that photo reminds me of what i outfitted the girls in:

I see they decided not to go with the Fireball candy for Penny. That was such a cute bit about the original Penny.

they started filming parts of GMB and school scenes yesterday.


PERHAPS this is Penny in a mid-movie scene...

it just seems that way - since Link is so close to Penny in this shot.

but I could be wrong.

the fireball was cute, but also real sick cause her fingers were like red and sticky.

I mean, shes not 'Dot' from madtv. :)

I think the school being used for filming is Lord Lansdowne PS.

'cause I heard the school had a very retro looking exterior.
and then I noticed in that picture with Amanda the green doors behind her.

-could be very wrong.

I would agree about the school location, mateo. It does look like that school, especially with the details, like the door handles and whatnot. I'll have to ask my contact in the film (one of the Council kids) if that, in fact, is true. He/she is very zilch on the details, but that might not be too tough to answer.

Also, she looks more like ditzy popular girl than awkward non-socialite. The girl next to Amanda looks more Penny-esque! Still, she looks great. Zac looks fantastic as Link, though, and Nikki as Tracy, too, even though they're cut off. :)

What Penny should look like? That's only one shot...I think that looks fine...after all it looks like a quirky girl from the 60s. I'm glad the movie decided to go with a slightly different look for the movie, that way it isn't completely a carbon copy of the old movie or the staged show.

also, the characters may have up to 15+ different looks throughout the movie. So this Penny 'silhouette' may change.
