A few of my friends and myself auditioned our date was on Thursday the 14th (agency auditions)2 of us had callbacks on Saturday the 16th and again on Monday the 18th as well as others from the open call that made the last callbacks. We went in seperately and were not told anything. I am assuming that meant we were not selected I asked my agent and he said they would contact him. I am new to this and not sure of the procedure. any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Slow down, pokey! If you didn't hear anything, and there were already callbacks, chances are it's a no!
"He found something that he wanted, had always wanted and always would want— not to be admired, as he had feared; not to be loved, as he had made himself believe; but to be necessary to people, to be indispensable."
-F. Scott Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise
Seriously! Calm down. Part of being an actor is hurry up and wait. And going on lots and lots of auditions, where you don't hear anything back. And quite frankly, if you can't handle that you might be in the wrong profession.
agreed. not trying to discourage you, but sometimes after you get a callback, it takes months for them to get back to you. and sometimes it takes additional callbacks as well.
Thank you korenglish for you response. I am not in the wrong business at all !!! I am merely asking a question because I auditioned for something else and got the role I just wanted to know about hairspray to weigh my options. Thank you.
Appears the cast has been notified. The website is being changed as we speak. I was looking, refreshed the page and saw a new Velma, I might be wrong, I have no contacts in. Updated On: 8/20/08 at 06:52 PM
