Its a great number! Did they show Edna's side? or just Velma.

Pfeiffer did look pretty bored.
She probably wanted to scream "Who the f**k cares if I've ever been on your show"
I did

Posted: 5/16/07 at 5:39pmI also hate when they say they are live when other people in other cities are already watching it!

Posted: 5/16/07 at 5:39pmhaha. i know right? she looked so bored. i think the best part was the new big blonde and beautiful reprise! i love it. except pheiffer SUCKS at lip synching!! well, so does john, and nikki. zac a good lip syncher, surprisingly. AH i can not wait for this movie! i love how the dynamites open the curtain too early and john is like HEY! and closes it and makes that face(same one in the trailer)

"I have never seen the movie nor the musical, so I thought Hairspray was about hair"
-Oprah-
Right, she sees only what she produces and gives her more money, she is caught in her own little world where everyone is a billionaire, and working for a minimal wage salary is something not decent, unless you get cast in a 75 million movie, then you're somebody and your life should be great. Actually I loved Nikki when told Oprah that her life was ALREADY great before she got the role, loved it.

When did watching 30 second clips on a talk show make everyone know every detail about the movie.
I also didnt know you could make fair assesments about something only after viewing maybe 2 minutes of footage tops.

First, if I remember quickly from the hour and a half ago I watched it, both Velma & Edna say "Beautiful."
And darn it, I missed the first 5 minutes of the show. Anybody know where I can find the performances?

"It looks like it has turned into the kind of movie that John Waters was trying to spoof in the first place. "
And John Waters would love that more than anything actually I suspect.
"Travolta looks like a Garbage Pail Kid. He doesn't look very warm or nurturing as a mom/woman. Maybe his performance will counteract his scary appearance. "
Yeah--Divine sure was *maternal*.....

Posted: 5/16/07 at 6:01pmI can't believe that only the ensemble danced to YCSTB! They were good though. I am lucky I had a chance to record the show!

Posted: 5/16/07 at 6:31pmI love how Oprah told Efron "It's okay we all have bad hair days" or something along that line. He looked pretty confused, haha. Overall, I was skeptical about the movie, but I'm feeling better about it.

Zac's hair looked so much better on the Oprah show than in the movie. The brown hair was nice looking against his tan skin and not as plastered as Link's black 'do.
Oprah was a great look in to the movie. The movie is so good y'all! I had the pleasure of seeing it on monday- hopefully I will get my review up soon.
For all those talking about the vocals/music. I believe -and marc can interject- but the Oprah film footage was all temp score- the final mixing has not been completed.
Nikki is just a dream!
