They are pulling out all the stops on this cast. Really excited to see Phillipa Soo in another exciting new musical. She was amazing in Natasha...
Even the ensemble is filled with pretty well known people who are really talented. I'm hoping this turns out well.

I can’t wait to see this. I was lucky enough to attend the staged reading at Vassar in 2013 and have been anxiously awaiting getting to see it again (with full script and cast!) – it was already brilliant, just from what was on display at that time.
Particular excited about Phillipa Soo. I can’t wait to hear her on this score. This whole cast is really excellent – Chris Jackson and Daveed Diggs were in the reading at Vassar and I’m very happy to see they are still attached.
I noticed at least one character missing from the line-up (Maria Reynolds) and Lin noted on his Twitter that this is “most” of the casting. Excited to see who else ends up in this cast.

They JUST announced the extension like, a few hours ago, right?!
HOW THE HELL is the front of the orchestra all gone already?
I'm miffed ... Greedy and miffed. I don't *get* it.

Posted: 10/2/14 at 5:41pmI'm glad I got my student ticket the day they went on sale. Even then I didn't get my first choice of date.

Posted: 10/2/14 at 5:48pmProbably won't be catching it at this rate, but I've also heard talk of it coming to B'way? Far back as when the workshop was happening...

I'm just going to spend a moment enjoying this casting.
My eighth grade social studies student listened to the Hamilton rap Miranda performed at the White House almost everyday during the last school year. Now there will be more!
This is shaping up to be a production that is making me really happy. Super talented cast and I love what I've heard. I'm happy to see people excited about this. Ticket sales are looking great!

The NY Times article linked says:
"The musical has been developed with support from commercial producers; if all goes well at the nonprofit Public, it is likely to transfer to Broadway during the 2015-16 theater season."
So, it sounds as though broadway may be a go if all goes well at the Public!!

Posted: 10/3/14 at 9:12amI remember when the casting notice came out it noted a possible extension through sometime in May, so, if it continues to sell well, there may be more chances for good tickets in the future.

Posted: 10/3/14 at 9:41amI should amend my post to say “front orchestra” as opposed to “good seats.” I agree there are no bad seats in the house, I was just referring to Limelight Mike was expressing disappointment at the front orchestra seats already being sold. (My preferred seating in this theatre is about 8-10 rows back.)
