" OP- I'm sorry that you are not able to brag to you friends that you saw "the original cast." You actually did see the original cast....everyone on that stage is a member of the original Broadway cast. I bet many of us on the board who have seen the show didn't see by your definition "the original cast." I saw the show the week after it opened and Anthony Ramos was out, so I guess I didn't see the "original cast" either....guess that means I should be mad too. But seriously, there is no need to bash a talent performer who got thrown on stage with I'm sure very very little rehearsal in a difficult role and gave it his all. There is also a simple solution to your problem...go to stubhub and buy a ticket for another show. Odds are you'll get to see Lin as his attendance has been very very good.....although who knows if you'll see the "original cast".

I'm particularly fascinated by the conspiracy theory that producers and/or the creator of the most sizable hit on B'way in decades elected to shove a 2nd, supposedly only semi-prepared cover on stage at the Richard Rodgers at the start of the holidays. It just makes such good sense, doesn't it? For everyone involved. Good thinking.

"
Second this for sure -- Miranda got an A+ , but "Burr" carries the show's arc, and Odom was beyond extraordinary. And Renee Goldsberry was luminous.

Sorry you couldn't find a more supportive group to bring you a blankie and bottle.

I'm just still confused by the OP's contradiction ... saying that Lin commands the stage with his performance but then saying that he/she is mad about not getting to see the original cast when Jon was on. So ... how many times has the OP seen Hamilton?

I also don't know why I care. Wasting away the last office day before vacation I guess.

Here's a backstage video of the cast embracing Jon Rua. Such a pity you lacked the vision and imagination to see him as they do.

Well, that was able to wring a fresh tear. Thank you, PalJoey.

I'm finally going on January 16th and just saw that Leslie was going to be on vacation that week. I admit that I'm pretty devastated because Burr is my favorite in the whole show, but I'm going in with an open mind. Has anyone heard anything about his understudy?

Wait, where do you see that that's his vacation? Is there somewhere that says cast members' planned absences?

There is not one set place to check. Cast members will post on their Facebook pages and Twitters about it though.

So where are Odom's planned vacations posted?
