If only JAY records would finally get the funds to release their complete recording after, what 15 years now? (They just finally released the complete One Touch of Venus, so...) 'Anyone Can Whistle' is one of my all time favorite SONDHEIM songs...infact i love the whole score...from beginning to end...it's pure magic...

Excellent. Thank you for sharing. Plenty here I haven't seen before.

Some of the backdrops remind me of Top Cat (Boss Cat?).

And thrilled, 50 years later, to be seeing Dame Angela still on stage, tomorrow, in Blithe Spirit.

What a wonderful post celebrating a glorious, under-appreciated musical. It may have its flaws, and there are a lot of them, but I love it from start to finish!

Listening to the cast album for the first time, back when all I knew of Sondheim was "Sweeney", "Merrily" and "Company", I had a classic WTF moment hearing "Simple" for the first time. I remember looking over at my stereo in disbelief.

Does anybody know what sort of reviews the two act reduction of the show got?

Mr.Nowack...you're the best. I just loved your HIGH SPIRITS spread last March as well as the FADE OUT! FADE IN! anniversary photos (did I miss SHE LOVES ME last April?). These are just as great. Just when I thought I'd seen all there is to see you pop up with more. Much appreciated!
