Two Time Tony Award winning actress Helen Gallagher turns 98 today! 
Any favorite performances from her ? She won her Tonys for Sweet Charity and No No Nanette but starred in 21 Broadway productions.

As in Ryan’s Hope Helen Gallagher? G-d bless her, I had no idea she was still alive.

An icon! No No Nanette will always be one of my favorite shows and Helen's incredible performance is iconic! Happy birthday queen!

She did not win a Tony for Sweet Charity…she lost to Bea Arthur.  I THINK she won for Hazel Flagg, but could be wrong, since it was a flop.

Very talented.  Did she not become a star because her first big starring role was a flop or was she missing something.  She always elevated every show she was in.

Oh you are right! She won her Featured Actress Tony for her Gladys Bumps in Pal Joey !!

She was by far the best musical theater teacher I ever had.  Worked with her in the early 90s at HB Studios.  She was simply wonderful!!!!
