Nothing against Jessie Mueller as a person but she was an awful choice to star in Waitress. I've seen four different leads and she was the worst of them-all. Her voice is too brash for the timid character and she over-acted it to death. It's a shame her voice is on the cast album because the other Jennas have been much better.

I'd say it's more off to a good start with her motion picture debut in The Post, which is among this year's Oscar nominees for Best Picture. We shall see how the rest of her year will turn out.
