The $0.00 tickets show up first on the list of available seats. I went and double checked another date I knew had free tickets and only normally priced tickets were remaining, so the free tickets had all been claimed.
Were they only available for the broadway production? Anyone get a free ticket for San Francisco?

oohhhh so the $0 would appear at the top of the page where now the $40 per Part are appearing?
I thought you literally had to click or hover above every single seat to locate a $0 seat giveaway one

Site confirms they're gone. But what's weird is that for all other productions, you enter a contest rather than combing through dates apparently...

I kept trying random dates and found one for 2/23/2020 in the Dress Circle Row E. It really is just dumb luck and a lot of trial and error. I completed my purchase at 12:15 PM. I'm pretty sure all the free tickets are gone by now.

No, there was the seat location listed as 0.00 right at the top of the lowest price section with "Back to Hogwarts" promo listed below it.
Funny, some person on Twitter called this whole thing a "scam" because she didn't get tickets. I corrected her and she blocked me
Good old internet - if you didn't get something that was free to begin with, it must be a scam, of course.

I got to the card confirmation page-and then I forgot my 3-digit number on the back of my card. The ticket was gone 😔

I’m pretty sure that’s what they did for the October 3rd performance of Mean Girls! You entered a digital lottery and that’s how you got a ticket (or not). Shouldn’t done the same for this.
Is it safe to assume that all the free tickets are gone at this point? I’ve seen the show 4 times already so I’m not too bitter about it.

They were gone as of around 12:30.
Didn't get a free ticket, but I did get a $40 per-part ticket for tomorrow, second row center, dress circle. I couldn't believe it was that cheap, but I bought it anyway, and... I suppose it's real?

Excellent last-minute $20-40 per part seats have been available since the show started. It's nothing new.

I hadn't ever searched last minute so I was unaware. Phew! Good to know it wasn't a system error lol.
Was able to get a front orchestra seat for March for free (the date I wanted too). So excited to go back!
I jumped online right at 12noon and saw several of the FREE seats for both early-November and December dates, but decided not to grab them since I wasn’t sure I could make it back to NYC again. I hated to pass up the opportunity, but instead of going back to see HP again I’d rather see Moulin Rouge! and maybe Betrayal (before it closes). Congrats to everyone who scored tickets!!!

Dang I need to check this site everyday because I totally missed this. I saw it in London, but I'd totally see it for free on Broadway.
They released some free balcony seats for today. All gone now, but I wonder if it'll happen again.

I’m confused. Are there 934 tickets per city or 934 altogether? If together, how could they have divided them up?

There were 934 tickets for the Broadway production only for random dates. You just had to get in a brief queue which took you to a page where you could search dates for $0.00 tickets. The free tickets were gone as of 12:30 yesterday afternoon.

Can't believe I missed this.
Been waiting forever to see this show. If anyone happened to snag one and doesn't want it now, please let me know.

Why would someone get a free ticket to a hot ticket show and just all of a sudden wouldn’t want it anymore? Lmao

It's highly unlikely, but you never know. Some other people on this thread said they had already seen the show 4 times. Maybe they got one and just want to make a modest profit reselling? It was a shot in the dark.

Sometimes people may rather end up doing something else and don’t get upset about not going since they didn’t lose anything on the ticket being free.
