If anyone is able to shell out the big bucks, in June lots of the highest price seats (299 per part) have been released. I was holding Row A Seat 1 for a little bit, but decided I wanted to eat for the next month.

Oh my - thank you for this heads-up! I am going in June and had little choice but to shell out those big bucks during the public sale since I never got lucky with the access codes and that was all that was left. I was also reluctant to do dress circle or balcony because I don't have the best vision, and even with the new setup the dress circle overhangs Row Q.
So now I cannot believe I'm asking this question - prior to seeing your message I had Row M, seats 22 and 24 on the right. I was able to buy Row A first two seats on the center aisle just now. Anyone know if this will be TOO close? Is the stage super-high? We are shorties, so I certainly prefer not to be in M and have tall (or even average sized) people in front of me, so unless someone tells me I will be craning my neck for 5 hours and miss some effects that require a "bigger picture" or further back view, I'll keep front row.
Your thoughts would be appreciated!!
Seriously, after all the crap with the presales I never thought I'd be in a position to ask THIS question.

The stage looks high, but A is actually the second row. Keep checking your date though. I have a feeling that they'll sell all the premiums in A, them possibly move back to the next row. Also, if all else fails, they probably have seat cushions.
It looks like a new block of premium seats have been released not only in June, but into July and August too. I have dress circle seats in July, and have been looking daily to see if better seats come up. I checked just a few hours ago and found nothing, and then saw the post about new seats in June. Sure enough July was all “green” again, and I just snagged orchestra A1.
So I have the same question as others. Is A1 too close and/or is the stage high (I’m 5’6&rdquo? Would be great to hear from someone with actual experience sitting up that close. Right now I have to choose between orch A1 or dress circle C1. They’re both good seats. Which is better?
I find it really interesting how they are releasing blocks of tickets little by little. I would have to think this is deterring scalpers. It also explains why it was so difficult to get center front orchestra seats during the presales.

They do have seat cushions. I'm 4'11" and standing next to the stage, it hit around my shoulders so around 4ft?
There are some elements that are on the back wall that I feel like you'll miss in the front row. So, my suggestion is to get a little further back. Row K (?... check the seating chart) is probably your best bet since there's an aisle there. So you won't have people directly in front of you and you'll get the overall view.
For those of you who have returned tickets to Ticketmaster, is it best to use the Live Chat, call, or email? I am trying to use the Chat feature today, but I keep getting a message saying that is is not available at this time. I tried to call, and the phones are busy. What do you recommend? The website claims that Live Chat is open 24/7, but that isn't the case right now.
NYfanfromCA, when I returned my last ticket, I used the live chat, but received that message too. It took about 15 minutes before it was back up again, so just wait a little longer and go back and check. That's what I'll be using if I follow through with this purchase.

Thanks, LesWickedly! Are you finding a better seat/date today? Good luck!
Still currently debating if I should drop the extra (two) hundred or so on switching to center aisle Row A on a date that works better for me. It seems perfect, but the price is keeping me from pressing the ever so tempting "Pay Now".

Is the new date and purchase date still within the refund timeframe? If so, I would get it and think about it for a few days. As a forum friend told me, "$289/$299 is only $90/$100 more per part than $199," so it made it seem somehow better to me that way, especially if it is on a day that works best for you. I know what you are going through. I started with row T center for October, but really wanted to go in May and wasn't excited about T. Then I bought row G side orchestra seats for October, but really want to go in May. Then I got an amazing K center orchestra May seat, but it's on a day when I already have two shows so I would need to do some rearranging. Then I got an absolutely *perfect* E center orchestra aisle April seat, but I wasn't planning on going in April. Thanks to CT2NYC, I now have a J side orchestra seat for May, which meets my budget and date needs. Buy the seat if you can take some time and think about it and then return it, if needed.
NYfanfromCA, that’s exactly what I did! Will think it over the next few days. Also, that’s exactly my thinking about the splitting of the price (which is an also dangerous way for me to think haha). This return policy is a blessing and a curse.
All this being said, if anyone that is going to Part 2 tonight would be so willing to stop by Row A and take some sort of picture from that seat area, I’m sure many of us would appreciate it.

And from the very sides of the orchestra as well! I know alot of us got seats at the end of the row in the orchestra. I got row D seat 25 for example and am a bit worried some staging and decor will be obstructed.

That happened to me too, but it seems there might be limit to how many people can join the Chat queue because when I repeatedly tried to initiate a chat many times in a row, after clicking a few times I got in. Live Chat makes it really easy to return tickets, so just be persistent.

Does the metal bar break up the view of the stage? Could you see above it?"
I am also interested in DC row A reports. I probably won’t fuss around with other tickets if it’s a bit in the way but would be nice to know what I’m in for. We have DCR A 10-12. Thanks!

I have very similar seats, but opposite side of the theatre for October (A9-11). Looking at photos of the theatre posted on Instagram, I’m very concerned they will be partial because of how the dress circle wraps around.

I don’t think we need to be too worried about partial view since it’s only 5 and 6 seats in but maybe someone will prove me wrong.
The bar is a tad concerning to me but I suppose I’d rather deal with a stationary object than a moving head for 6 hours.

I thought the same thing initially when I bought - not so bad, only 5 or 6 seats in. However, with the seating chart released, and photos of the theater, it looks like they're pretty far over (unlike other broadway theaters).
i went to tonight's preview and was in Row B orchestra.
I would say end of Row D is fine as you are still within the stage. That said, if you could get two seats or so closer to center for the same price, I would go for them.
Row K looked awesome because of the legroom. I would go a few rows back from K but I think the last section of rows in back would be a tad far and at the same price point or lower I might consider the first few rows of dress circle of balcony. That said, if you have seats in the back, still a nice experience and I asked one or two people and they were happy,
I walked up to dress circle and looked out. It had a good view of the stage and looked pretty close. I walked up to balcony also. More of an arial view (the stage looked smaller) but surprisingly good. I spoke to people in both and they were happy. There are some special effects that reach both levels also.
I would say it is akin to a movie theatre--sometimes you just feel like sitting in back.
I was very moved by the themes, and enjoyed all the humor and special effects which felt the candy wrapped around very human themes of frailty and stumbling towards connection and repair in an imperfect world filled with loss and stress inducing events.
Just as a heads up, someone I know returned 6 $199 per part tickets for Thursday 6/14 & Friday 6/15, orchestra R 21-31. They're available on Ticketmaster now.
