They are now offering rush $30 seats for every performance.  Is this anything I shouldn’t miss?  I can take it or leave it with the whole franchise . But as theater .. is it something I shouldn’t miss?  Is it worth the shlep?

It’s enjoyable enough, some of the effects very well done. For 30 bucks, do it!

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Go on a week night.  Less families. The audience it attracts is not up on their theater etiquette. We are not their target audience.

I think this is the worst piece of writing I've ever seen performed, and there were only a few interesting staging moments. And I usually like the director.

For $30 I think it’s worth seeing. I’ve paid far more for less enjoyable experiences.

Sam, $30 is a fantastic price.  Go and see it.  You'll be glad you did.  Do you live far away from The Pantages?

I am in Woodland Hills.  I see they are having some odd time weekday matinees.  I might do that since my driving at night is a thing of the past for me.  And none of my people want to go.

I agree. I think there is some really cool stage craft moments. Don't go in expecting amazing writing.

Looks like the cast has been having a lot of callouts? Is there a flu going around?

Matt Mueller is no longer on the cast page, but his name is on the cast board? Is he still with the show?

I wonder if cast calling out is related to recent news that JK Rowling is funding an anti-trans organisation. Can't imagine much of the cast would feel ethically or morally aligned with that, would be a tough mental/emotional situation for some I think.

I attended a Sunday evening performance at the Pantages Theatre (Los Angeles).  I sat in the side orchestra section.

The performance was sold to 60% capacity.  The mezzanine was closed off and the last 5 rows of the orchestra too.

A few audience sat in the mezzanine, so I assume they purchased $30 rush tickets.

The producers under estimated the 4 month Los Angeles engagement, expecting another, 'Lion King", "Wicked" or "Hamilton" run at the Pantages Theatre.

My guests and I enjoyed the performance.  The $30 rush ticket is well worth seeing the special stage magic & special effects.
