I'll repeat what I said in the prior thread - I do agree that it feels more like an off-broadway show - but I did genuinely enjoy it. I finally got around to seeing outsiders on my last trip (cause it was on TKTS) and I liked Two Strangers 10 times better! I also en

I’ll likely wear a nice top and shorts - casual, but still somewhat dressy. Will I stick out like a sore thumb…?"
They will put a black cape over you to cover your outfit if they don’t deem it appropriate. I saw it happen with a gentleman in my group. He looked like he wore a bright blue polo and khakis.

SUNSET BLVD. Revival Jul 20 2025, 09:09:46 AM
Happy closing to one of the most exciting shows I’ve ever seen on Broadway. To think I was going to let the show pass without watching it because I thought I didn’t understand it and thought it was too gimmicky.
And now I’ve flown in 3 times just to watch it specifically.
Bravo!

I LOVED Sidney Jones, I thought she was a very smart actress with her scenes and had a very clear concept of who she wanted Betty to be. I know other people have said this production actually figured out Betty, but I never felt that and always thought Betty was the weak link in the show

How does the BACK TO THE FUTURE Tour compare to Broadway/West End? Jun 26 2025, 05:49:59 AM
aces25 said: "What are the differences? How are the special effects different?"
I was actually quite impressed with what they were able to tour with. It’s a tech-heavy show.
As someone else mentioned, the courthouse isn’t an actual set piece but I don’t think I even realized at the time.
The McFly home both inside and out are scaled down with less physical set pieces. Same with the diner.
There are less lights accompanying

BEETLEJUICE Returning To Broadway Fall 2025 Jun 3 2025, 02:53:44 PM

I thought they did a great job too. It was mostly the transitions with the house set that the downsizing was really noticeable.
Is there a chance for the tour cast to use the old Broadway set? I feel like that would give this show the extra push to see it there rather than w

For $30 I think it’s worth seeing. I’ve paid far more for less enjoyable experiences.

Is Playbill a theatre magazine or political forum May 31 2025, 09:47:24 AM
Chance4042 said: "Playbill seams to me no better than fox or cnn lately.
The magazine drew a line in the sand and ready to fight. Lupone ask to turn down the sound a bit. Now it a fight between the black community and the white community. Can we just stick to Broadway."
How is reporting on a big Broadway story considered picking a side? It’s them literally reporting a news story.

I’ve seen the show twice from front row balcony. The view is perfect. You don’t need to lean forward at all. I wouldn’t risk it, as rush can be all the way to the side, even if it’s technically “clos

I felt like the &Juliet tour experience was pretty close to the Broadway experience. There’s just so much joy and this particular cast is so delightful to watch. Teal Wicks really ma

AI backdrops on Broadway Mar 27 2025, 06:43:42 PM

There are several set pieces, props, dressings, lighting effects, etc. Its scenic design does not solely rely on AI in the way that the recent revival of The Wiz did (which was the biggest disappointment after seeing theconcept renderings).
Like it or not, AI is about to abused to death as a cost-cutting measure, so I really don’t

AI backdrops on Broadway Mar 26 2025, 09:30:38 PM
I was watching Death Becomes Her recently and could not stop staring at the very AI looking video backdrops.
I could not believe that a Broadway show this big would use AI on their sets. It really took me out of an otherwise great show.
There were actual set piece trees later on but they also looked like they were designed to match the AI backdrops.
I wouldn’t imagine that they would be saving that much more money than by just hiring an artist??

I saw it in IMAX and thought the colors were so vivid and loved the sound. The vibrations were so strong and I felt like I was "in" the movie. If you haven't seen it in IMAX, it's definitely worth the price.
On another note, much as I loved seeing Kristin & Idina, I wasn't actually all that fond of the One Sho

I distinctly remember the first time I saw Phantom on Broadway I thought “This can’t be the real chandelier can it?” because it looked so hokey to me. The flimsy movement as it rose was very underwhelming. And I’m a huge Phantom fan and was so excited for this.
If they bring this back to Broadway, I just hope they

I understand the decision to cast an actual ballroom legend, versus a someone known for musical theater - but it resulted in a Memory that lackedthe vo

This actually makes a lot of sense and if it's true, I'm glad it's the superior West End version.
