Brave Sir Robin2 said: "So the Ahmanson gets OH MARY and... maybe a launch for JUST IN TIME? They've gotten nonunion tours before, so maybe BOOP?"
Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson is an Equity house.
Non-equity tours never performed at the Ahmanson as part of its subscription.

2026-2027 Season Tour Launches Mar 4 2026, 02:29:13 AM
TellZ said: The Ahmanson hasn't hosted a sit down since Phantom, right? Every sit down since utilized the now-leveled Shubert or the Pantages. Sigh.
There was "Miss Saigon" in the mid 1990s for 10-12 months.. Perhaps "Jersey Boys" and "Mary Poppins" enjoyed a 3-4 months at the Ahmanson. For more accuracy and curiosity, you can look at the Center Theatre Group website at their past productions. Cheers!

2026-2027 Season Tour Launches Mar 3 2026, 02:47:24 PM
Ahmanson Theatre (Los Angeles) will not likely have an extended run of any of their shows as part of their subscription. Perhaps, a 3-4 month run at the max, because their overhead cost is too expensive for a non-profit organization. Ahmanson Theatre is an Equity house.
Historical fact: Ahmanson Theatre subscribers went to the Doolittle Theatre in Hollywood during the 4 year run of "The Phantom of the Opera." That was a very long time ago in the early

CABARET sets closing with Porter and Wallace to star Sep 7 2025, 06:16:40 PM
I intended to watch CABARET is a period piece.
The Emcee who scolded, yelled, and called the audience, "bitches" was out of context of the script, out of character, and simply out of touch.
Stop improvising and stay with the script as intended. This was NOT a reality show. (In my honest & respectful comment)

Off-Topic:
I wish "The Phantom of the Opera" returns to the newly refurbished Majestic.
Not as a revival, but in its original form. <--- Wishful Thinking. Ha!

Harry Potter at Pantages Jun 4 2025, 06:46:36 PM
I attended a Sunday evening performance at the Pantages Theatre (Los Angeles). I sat in the side orchestra section.
The performance was sold to 60% capacity. The mezzanine was closed off and the last 5 rows of the orchestra too.
A few audience sat in the mezzanine, so I assume they purchased $30 rush tickets.
The producers under estimated the 4 month Los Angeles engagement, expecting another, 'Lion King", "Wicked&quo

REDWOOD To Close May 18, 2025 May 4 2025, 05:38:11 PM
Tina Landau is not a good director. "A Transparent Musical" (Mark Taper Forum, Los Angeles; 2023) was also directed by Landau. That was another flop.

Have You Left at Intermission? Apr 21 2025, 02:13:50 AM
Los Angeles, California:
LOVE NEVER DIES, National Tour; Pantages Theatre, (April 2018).
Libretto was too "wordy", so I was lost in the plot. I left in a daze at intermission.
OKLAHOMA!, National Tour, Ahmanson Theatre, (October 2022).
I walked out at intermission. Days later, I re-watched old versions on DVDs for my sanity's sake.

Have You Left at Intermission? Apr 21 2025, 01:59:42 AM
Center Theatre Group, Los Angeles: - Fiasco Theater production of INTO THE WOODS; Ahmanson Theatre (May 2017).
Low quality & low budget production. Costumes were purchased from a thrift shop. This production was revived to cash-in from the success of the film adaptation. I wanted to leave at intermission, but stayed to the end for salvation. I didn't find it. Local high school and college productions were better.

2025 - 2026 Touring Season Apr 10 2025, 02:12:46 AM
I also received the e-mail from Broadway in Hollywood.
Based on the hints, the National Tour of "Moulin Rouge!" returns to the Pantages Theatre (Los Angeles) in winter 2026.
(Although, I may be wrong)

Is Ben Platt Reopening The Palace theatre with a concert for his new Album? May 24 2024, 01:32:59 PM
As of May 24, Ben Platt's shows at the Palace looks 50% sold to capacity -- each show.
Off topic:
I saw him on tour in Las Vegas in Fall 2022. He performed at The Theatre in Virgin Hotel. My casino host comped my tickets. Concert was fine, but he could toned down his ego, in my opinion.

2024-2025 Touring Season Apr 29 2024, 12:41:05 PM
For the National Tour of "& Juliet" there is 4 week gap between Portland and Costa Mesa.
Perhaps those weeks will be for the Los Angeles engagement.
Still unconfirmed as of late-April, so we shall see what happens.
