Check out Broadway.com's Stage Notes. Quite the pic of the first Young Frankenstein billboard with the date 4.23.07 and the words "SIZE MATTERS." Thoughts?

That's a bit to neon for my taste.
4/23, I assume, will be the day the cast is revealed.
HOLY GOD! Freakin' incredible! Place your bets on what the date means now!
My educated guess:
The day that 1, 2, or all of the following things happen:
(1) Full cast announced (Most likely)
(2) Out-of-town tryout dates and city named (Also very likely)
(3) Tickets on sale for out-of-town tryout (Unlikely)
This doesn't seem like a very good teaser poster. How will anyone even know what it's for?
Check out the Xanadu poster on the blog!

This looks more like a Rocky Horror Ad....

well thats the day after Producers closes and Young frankenstein moves in not opens but moves in to Broadway
I'm very psyched for YF, but that teaser sucks.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN won't be loading in until the fall.

That's a really, really, interesting teaser. Since there is no title or anything, some might mistake it for either a Rocky Horror revival or maybe just Frankenstein, but it's an interesting teaser.
I think that the date will either be the date tickets go on sale or the full cast announcement or maybe both.
If it is the day that the cast is announced, I feel there will be bigger names than are expected right now.
If there's no bigger name than Mullally, it's pointless to make such a grand announcement with big teaser posters if they've already announced their biggest name.
interesting.
I HIGHLY doubt that they're announcing the date that they're going to announce the cast, since we already know a couple major players. It would make sense.
I think we can bet that it's the day tickets will go on sale. Makes pefect sense. Really, nothing else seems to be possible.
Munk, the day out-of-town tickets go on sale?
I find it odd they'd start selling tickets nearly six months before it's even scheduled to hit NY. Not out of the realm of possibilities, though.
I don't know anything about the dates for this show or where or when it's playing out of town.
But if THE PRODUCERS is closing the day before, you can bet that the box office will just stay open and sell YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN tickets. It makes a lot of sense.
I have no clue about the out-of-town tryout other than I believe it's in Seattle. Don't know when.
Previous articles have mentioned that Brooks is eyeing a Halloween opening night in NY.

Since we sometimes have to buy tickets 8-10 months in advance here in Chicago it doesn't seem odd to me that that tickets would go on sale 4/23 for summer previews OR a fall opening.

I actually like the poster, but the tagline is just overdone. "Size Matters"? Come on, there's got to be something better than that.
Maybe there will be like something televised on NY1 or something when they announce it. Maybe something in Times Saqure?

"I find it odd they'd start selling tickets nearly six months before it's even scheduled to hit NY. Not out of the realm of possibilities, though."
They sold tickets to the Grease revival in January without a cast or a theatre, so it wouldn't be weird if YF starts selling tickets the day after The Producers closes.
"Maybe there will be like something televised on NY1 or something when they announce it. Maybe something in Times Saqure?"
That would be interesting like they have Shuler Hensley all dressed up like the monster or something like that with someone as Fronkensteen bringing the monster to life to announce YF is coming to Broadway in the fall or maybe just a press conference for YF with Mel, Stro, and the cast.
I don't think they'd advertise a press conference.
I was thinking there could be some sort of publicity stunt that day.
I guarantee that the minute THE PRODUCERS closes, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN stuff will go up at the St. James. They won't even wait for the seats to get cold.

"Go up" meaning what? That they'll put up the marquee?
I think the poster is just pointless. The average person doesn't know what the hell that poster means or what 4.23.07 even means.
I think they're targeting tourists as well as resident New Yorkers.
It's spring break and there's a reason that billboard went up when it id. Anyone who sees it will be intrigued by it and, at the very least, will make a mental note to check the news that day.

But I highly doubt the Idaho News is going to run this on their front page. But whatever, I have high hopes for this show. But I would like to hear the music.
