Head Over Heels or Gettin The Band Back...

So looking at the luke warm reviews for Head Over Heels and the grosses for Getting the Band Back Together...

Which do you think is closing first?

I think Getting The Band... B/C folks are not buying tixs. Everyday there is a new offer all short of just giving the toxs away. BAD BAD sign, even for dynamic ticketing. I see no wat for them to survive
at these numbers through January.

However Head Over Heels if they had a reserve
could hold out for the holidays. Although unlikely...

I also think The Hudson is where Dreamgirls is
Going...

Thoughts??

I don't think Head Over Heels has much longer beyond Labor Day, truthfully.

Let's see how today's grosses are before making a bigger judgment call about GTBBT. Today's numbers will reflect the show's first full week of preview performances.

So... The show for a small audience of 40 year old rockstar vs the show for Go/Go fans. I say Head over Heels will last longer, although still being a major flop.

I know many people who are seeing head over heels ironically or to see how terrible it is. Apparently there's a drag star in it named peppermint that people are also turning out for. VS gettin the band, which has zero audience. I'll admit I'm far from the target age group, but I haven't heard any buzz about it besides on here.

They could both be closing Labor Day Weekend.   I would't be the least suprised.

Not much of a reader, are you, Drama Teach?  The OP asked what show will be closing first, not what show he should see.  

 

Unless of course you're saying because you liked it, it should close first?

HoH without a doubt - there is love, charm, old school musical theater comedy, true diversity, and fresh faces. Really pleasantly surprised with how well constructed it was overall too. 

GTBBT on the other hand was 2.5 hours I will never get back.

Loved the music in Head Over Heels, but not the storyline. It sounds more appealing than GTBBT in my opinion but I’ll probably go see GTBBT to see if it’s goodZ

Yup, dramamama611, my master's in English can attest to the fact that I hate to read.  I apologize profusely for trying to do two things at once and will be sure to devote all of my attention to posts in the future.
