So the lovers got carried away--and probably did hear some misinformation about a possible transfer to Bway. and Yes, I heard the same stores in the industry's grapevines.
But WHY quash their dreams? What does it help/hurt you? If you're amused--then LAUGH on your side of the monitor--make the snarky comment ONCE
and, as I've said on a diff thread, IN THE HEIGHTS couldnt sell tix off-bway either, and we all know how that transfer worked out!
You only have another two weeks to make fun of the show--so you might as well get it out of your system.
Until the next show!!

"But WHY quash their dreams?"
Dreams are made to be quashed; quashing dreams is as delicious as eating crème brûlée; it keeps your skin young, like bathing in the blood of virgins.
And getting your dreams quashed helps you grow up.

^^^^
This.
It's called flowers wilt,
It's called apples rot,
It's called theives get rich and saints get shot,
It's called God don't answer prayers a lot,
Okay, now you know.
Okay, now you know,
Now forget it.
Don't fall apart at the seams.
It's called letting go your illusions,
And don't confuse them with dreams.

"How many musical Hairspray lovers (of which I am one) ever saw the movie? I'd bet, not most (and, no, I havent seen the movie).
It's not knowing the source, it's about assessing what is on stage. "
I like the musical a lot (at least on CD) so am not a hater. But Man that's some iffy logic. Sure, it's fair to say someone loved a musical without knowing the source material. Or if they did. But that doesn't negate the fact that you are equally valid if you know the source material to judge the work as an *adaptation*.

"People bash AE for his consistent negative assessments of shows, but usually he only makes it once--you (and a few others) are constantly dumping on Heathers. "
You really have not been reading this forum long if you think AE usually doesn't repeat his "negative assessments."

I understand it when good and/or popular shows have a dedicated fandom quick to rise to the show's defense and shill for it. But this show is neither so I don't get it.
Plus, did someone really have to create all these Heathers threads that show up on the first page of this board? All the Heathers-related topics could have been discussed in one thread.

Posted: 7/28/14 at 12:23amThat's not very nice. They spent a really long time at Halloween Adventure trying to find that wig.

Activity is what dictates the front page of the board. So, a few Heathers threads were created at different times, and during its last week, more activity will keep them on the front page. Nothing shocking there, really.
