I posted this in the Theatre Fail thread, but figured it deserved it's own. Some company in Asia created Helen Keller the musical, using songs from BatBoy and Legally Blonde. The result is this.

This is the best new thing in the world today. The only thing that could make it better would be Annie singing "And Eve Was Weak".
she said wah wah
Holy mother of all that's good and right in the world....
Jordan at first I thought you meant Little Orphan Annie and I had a nice giggle, but this is even funnier.

Is it better than the one Eric Cartman composed?

A Helen Keller Musical? I haven't seen it and I haven't heard anything about it.
Bahahaha.
I wonder if the Legally Blonde ballad translates to "Legally Blind".
They'd owe Cheno royalties.
This reminds me, when I was a kid I wanted to do an animated version of The Miracle Worker (at the height of the Disney Renaissance) and the theme song was going to be Céline Dion's "Because You Loved Me":
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'cause you believed
I'm everything I am because you loved me!
I also envisioned a dining room playset so kids could use their Barbie-as-Annie and Skipper-as-Helen dolls to re-enact the breakfast scene. :-P
I wouldn't spend any money on a cast recording.

Just got to part 2. Wow, look at that rain effect!
Also, the woman who plays Anne Sullivan should be Elle in a Japanese production of Legally Blonde, she sings the songs well.
I bet Patyy Duke has the American rights.
""Neeeeeely"
"...she couldn't enjoy it but you sure will!"
What's the show curtian look like?
Are they all songs from other shows?
Oh god, the third song is "Take it like a Man". Also from Legally Blonde.
My friends and I had a running joke that we'd create "Kellertastic: The Helen Keller Musical" in high school, and it was deliciously offensive, with yours truly starring as Helen in drag. Maybe I should still follow through on that...
Or a musical using all Portishead songs.

Oh, that goes up immediately on Facebook..
So this was put on by some controversial SOuth Korean based Christian youth camp? I guess that explains whythe songs surely couldn't be licensed. It's all kinds of brilliant though.
International Youth Fellowship (IYF) is a global, nonprofit 501(c), Christian faith-based organization founded by South-Korean pastor Ock Soo Park.
