Help Me Make a Flops Cd

What flops should I put on this mixed cd? I'm only looking for flops with original scores that have actual cast recordings or tracks done in a studio.

Thanks.

start with "Piece of the Pie" and "Change in Me" from Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public.

Biggest flop in years...with some fantastic music.

"Smile" from SMILE

re: Help Me Make a Flops Cd

Add "Disneyland" from SMILE as well. They're both on the Unsing Musicals CD.

Also how 'bout two from Angela Lansbury: "I Don't Want to Know" from DEAR WORLD and "Me and My Town" from ANYONE CAN WHISTLE.
"Jaws is the Citizen Kane of movies."

Anything from "Parade," especially Leo's Statement and All the Wasted Time.

re: Help Me Make a Flops Cd

you might want to include the Broadway demos for dance of the vampires, or at least the ones that were sung in English...

re: Help Me Make a Flops Cd

Cats, I didn't think anything was recorded for the Broadway production of DOTV. I know there is an English CD with Steve Barton on it, and of course there are the recordings of the foreign equivalent, Tanz Der Vampire...

...All that being said, I second the DOTV suggestion re: Help Me Make a Flops Cd

I don't think Parade falls into the flop category since it was done at Lincoln Center which is a non-profit.

Nick and Nora

Anyone see that?

re: Help Me Make a Flops Cd

Wasn't Amour a flop? I know it was nominated for a Tony for Best Musical, but it wasn't running when the Tonys were broadcast that year...if you'd consider it, I'd say look for "Other People's Stories" from that show. Melissa Errico's vocals are stunning.

re: Help Me Make a Flops Cd

Where'd you find a recording of "Don't Waste The Moon"? I'd love to have that song in its entirety.

Also, I was going to recommend "When There's No One" from Carrie. Betty Buckely recorded it on one of her CDs.

re: Help Me Make a Flops Cd

Unsuspecting Hearts from Carrie is also on a CD by Alice and Emily...

I don't remember where I got Don't Waste the Moon from? I thought it might have been on a random compilation CD too, but I could be wrong
