As in the best "how a show ends" not it was the best when this show ended...
My favs:
AIDA (I liked the Disney-fied ending)
PotO (can it get any better than that?)
Wicked (I love how each character scenerio ends, not just the final ending. So awsome..)

I do like the ending to Wicked....
Also, Chicago... I love sitting in the first few rows when the roses are thrown. How sad for me -- I have 21 of them. lol
Loved the ending of Hollywood Arms even though I cried buckets.
And definitely the Rocky Horror Show.... Gotta love getting up and Time Warping!
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
Les Miz. I like it when all the characters, even the ones who died, get to come back for a rousing, closing number.
Phantom almost made me cry this last time i saw it, which was the 4th time, so its still completely moving.
Wicked is great because its surprising yet all comes together nicely... kinda didnt want it to end :P
Hairspray is great because it's got so much energy!
Sunset Boulevard
Norma's mad scene, and finally getting her "close up"
"Also, Chicago... I love sitting in the first few rows when the roses are thrown. How sad for me -- I have 21 of them. lol..."
During the 2nd Act of the tour, I thought Velma (Brenda) threw a rose my way but the people in front of me caught it.
And I was almost the only one in the second row.
Other shows with good endings:
Thoroughly Modern Millie
Oklahoma!
Urinetown (the dance sequence finale)
42nd Street (the tap finale)
Sweeney Todd...a pile of Dead bodies that rise to sing "Attend the Tale of Sweeney Todd..." Blew me away.

So then I guess it would be a bad idea to tell you there have been a few times I've left with 2 roses from the same show?

HAIRSPRAY!!!
You leave the theatre in such a high. I got up and danced...luckily I knew the choreography off by heart.

Not a musical, but I'm partial to the ending of The Crucible, if done correctly.

LG: Did you see the recent revival of The Crucible? Did you like the ending of that?
1776, definitely. Makes me cry for some reason.

Ya know, KMC, I became a Broadway fan in late 2001 I believe. I haven't seen the revival, just other local/regional productions.
How did they do the ending?

How To Succeed. I love that Bud ends up in the window washing uniform reading the "How To" book
Millie
A Funny Thing Happened...
Les Miz
Funny Girl (i have no idea y, it just seems so powerful)
The revival happened two years ago, I believe. Nicholas Hytner directed it starring Laura Linney and Liam Neeson. As the last words were spoken, the backstage, which had shutters set upright came crashing off the hinges, as if a house had fallen.

Wicked
A Chorus Line
Urinetown
Mamma Mia
Gee maybe I like dance finales?
