Nothing could be further from the truth tbh...

The majority's point is that they're all asking whatreason do you have to believe it's someone from this board doing this? Are you also posting blanketing accusatory statements to All That Chat as well as your social media profiles? Are you making sure to also find every person who follows this and other Broadway sites on social to target them, too? Have you gone to the Facebook groups of showsand told everyone there they're cowards, too?

I don’t know what All That Chat is, so no....and yes, messages about these two incidents have made their way to other social media platforms. Someone (other than me) posted about it on their social media as well so I’m not alone.

Everyone's point is that you're a little...off-target on your accusations by posting an all-points bulletin on a chat board because someone fake-signed stage actors' names to a letter. It's highly likely, given a home address is known, it's someone in the recipients' school or neighborhood and, chances are, they've harassed the recipient(s) in the past."

Hi

This may be an unpopular opinion, but here goes.

I think at this point, we're beating a dead horse into the with this. This incident has been drilled into multiple social media platforms, and while the incident is incredibly vile, it happened on Sunday. It is now Wednesday. While it can sometimes be difficult, it's time to move on. Both of the people who were targeted have dealt with the situations in a manner they saw fit, so any chatter from us at this point is only giving the person who sent the messages more attention than they deserve. Furthermore, I think we can help the victims of this bullying move on with their lives, by moving on with ours.

Just my two cents. Take them or leave them.

Hi

Sorry that I was trying to alert the community at large about something incredibly wrong that happened to two people who did NOT deserve such hateful things. Sorry I was trying to tell people not to bully (because yes, no matter which way you slice it, this IS BULLYING) others. Sorry I was trying to tell people to be nice, which I rarely see on this website. Has anyone here ever tried it? Have you tried thinking about someone other than yourself? About not putting down people and actually listening to them with an open mind? Might want to try it sometime. You cant go through life being a mean person. Maybe you can-you shouldnt. Youll end up miserable.

Hi

This post is the problem. You are trying to tell people what to do, while complaining that we shouldn't tell you what to do.

From your initial post on this thread, you weren't looking for support but to chastise people here, even though it's highly unlikely anyone here was involved - esp since your friend doesn't seem to be a poster here.

No one here said that what happened to your friend was nice or acceptable but you started the whole thing with a childish attack, which, yes, does get people defensive.

If you'd come here looking for support instead of attacks, this entire thread would have gone differently.

Hi

TY dramamamma for your concise analysis. Rationality is always appreciated.

Hi

Sorry, LuPita - the world isn't a pissing contest over who has it worse. EVERYONE has pain to deal with. Your family suffering from different (and awful things) doesn't mean others aren't feeling their own <<edited by BWW staff>>.

Yes, but you're skipping the part where you basically assumed someone on here might potentially be the person who did it, and proceeded to explain to tell that person that what they did was wrong. A public post to all is an odd method to chastise a single person, not to mention that person did it BECAUSE it was wrong, so it was the whole point, not a blind spot. And the vast majority of people don't really need to hear when any random bad thing happens, and that would be true even if the people did deserve it.

But there are only two audiences for this. People who are not fans of bullying agree with you, and people who are bullies don't care. So there is literally no audience who needs to hear, or would bother to hear, this public service announcement.

Hi

Hi all. We appreciate the discussion but we think this thread has run its course and we're going to lock it.

Thanks.
