John Barrowman's Reflections from Broadway has Not While I'm Around with him and his mother singing together. It takes about a minute(maybe less for the song to come on).

I have nothing to add here, but I have to say to Demitri, the cat in your icon is too cute for words.

Exactly what is a hidden track?
On Sinead O'Connor's Broadway album, at the end of the last song, if you wait about 1 minute, she does this long political speech. Would that be a hidden track?

what is a hidden track?
"Let the little girl go, and that poor little dog? Dodo." That's my favorite line in the whole show (Wicked). My next favorite line is "Oh! It seems the artichoke is steamed."

well if all hidden tracks are like the one in hairspray then a song will play (in this case "You Can't Stop The Beat") and when it is finished there will be a pause like the song is over and then the hidden track will play.. it wont be listed as a different song but just included with one song!

I have the Skinner/Ripley cds, but I guess I never bothered to wait for the hidden tracks.

There's a hidden track on the fifth CD from ALW's "Now and Forever" Box Set, after Benedicite.

Hidden tracks on CDs were really in vogue in the mid-90's. I remember a Nirvana or Pearl Jam CD everyone used to talk about, and you could actually skip to the track, though it was on like track 50 (after 35 or so black tracks). I think it was a selling point for CDs in that era because it made the owner feel very priveleged to know about it. I know a Counting Crows live album has one too.
The one on Hairspray isn't technically a hidden "track" as much as a hidden song, given that it is on the same track as "You Can't Stop the Beat." That's getting nit-picky, though.

I can't believe I never knew there was a Hidden song on my HAIRSPRAY CD! I guess I'm impatient and take it out immediately when it finishes. You guys ROCK! I'm putting it in NOW!

On Michelle Nicastro's ON MY OWN CD, she performs "Disneyland" from SMILE as a hidden track. That's the only one I can think of, with the exception of the Ripley/Skinner stuff on their CD's, but that was mentioned : )

I'm not sure if this qualifies, but the Altar Boyz cast recording has a remix (on a new track) at the end that isn't listed.

For those that are scrambling to discover the Hairspray track, just let the CD keep running after You Can't Stop the Beat ends. After about 30 seconds you will hear a very brief little tune that was cut between Seattle and Broadway. Called "Blood on the Pavement," it was a sort of public service announcement about driving carefully on prom night. It's silly, but it gets stuck in my head anytime I hear a similar little doot-doo-doo song.
