I'm guessing it will sell just fine, at least for a while, once the reviews come out.

I hear you about the minimalism, but in this case it's not even noticed because the performances are exquisite and the direction laser-sharp. It's intense and the 90 minutes flew by for all four of us who went together. During a 7-show visit to London last spring, it was far and away the best thing we saw. I can understand the skepticism because the Craig/Weisz production was such a tepid dud, but imho this staging restores the "master" to the "piece."

Bought some $25 seats toward the front of the right side orchestra thanks to the comments in this thread. They aren't labeled partial view (even thought it seems like they should be), so I am hoping that most of the action for this is toward the center of the stage.

Glad I jumped on this thread. Was hoping to score decent seats since Betrayal is among the participating shows for Broadway 2 for 1 week in early Sept. Instead of jumping on that offer (roughly $90 for cheapest seats), I saw seats much closer to the stage. I wound up purchasing 2 Tickets, Right Orchestra Row E, Seats 10 & 12 for a total cost: of $70.00. They were not labeled partial views so I hope there are no major obstructions. There were several other similar seats throughout those two weeks in Sept.

Couldn't pass up those costs! Seemed like a steal for a new show.

I don't discount anyone's opinion but it's still one person's opinion and not clear if the obstructions he encountered in Orchestra Left are as bad or even bad at all for Orchestra right. I'm holding E10 as well but I'm going to wait for a few more reports to come in before i call Telecharge in a panic.

Not really. Zawe and Charlie walked the line and took pictures with/signed for everyone that wanted them to. Tom stood in the front and people had to walk up to him. He took pictures and signed for maybe 30 people on the average per performance, mostly 10-15 minutes max. It was madness. People left 10 minutes before the end of the play to be first in line (they checked tickets, people who didn’t see the show that particular night were not allowed to line up). The theatre tried to control the early leavers but never quite managed it until the end...

However the play was amazing and I would love to see it again. But I’ve just been to New York and coming back from Europe on such a short notice would be horribly expensive and very difficult... Damn..."

I've seen it twice now on previews (once on opening night, then two days later). They definitely have learned quick about the crowd, especially ones there for Cox and Hiddleston. Opening night was chaotic, and I don't think security was checking who came to see the show and who came to stage door only. I got out fairly quickly and stage door was certainly more than seven people deep. Even so, Tom and Zawe stayed for a long time for pictures and autographs, and Charlie was there for a bit too doing the same.

Second time watching, they were definitely more organized. There was a barrier for those who did not watch the show; these people could see the action from a distance, but couldn't get any autographs or pictures. Special section leading straight from the theater's exit to the stage door area, lots of space and very organized - the theater seems to have learned quickly. Plenty of time for the cast to sign autographs and chat with audiences. Security made sure people lining up knew the cast were signing the playbill and the poster (Essentially, Betrayal-related items ONLY; they were allowed to sign my Betrayal script). You could take pictures of the cast, but at the time they weren't doing photos with us - no idea if that will change in the future. Even so, I felt like they were very generous with the signing and spent lots of time with the crowd, definitely looked like they tried to get an autograph for everyone who wanted one.
