Yea I saw that but i saw the basket ball music video it freaked me out
There's a girl named Sharpay?
I have seen the commercial on Disney. I'm worried, but i will watch it.
I just listened to some music from it on the website and it sounds like a Backstreet Boys musical! OY!
yea i guess I'll watch it too
Awww...the boy is cute!
Alyson Reed!!
I just saw that Rath!
Oh this will be funny, I always get a kick out of their movies. PLus the whole basketball to stage thing will make many an awkward moment.
Yeah, I saw this 3 minute "making-of" commerical on Disney Channel. The cast made the director seem like he was the next Bob Fosse or something. It doesn't look so great.
A soundtrack for it comes out on the 10th.

I watched it, and as I said to a friend of mine earlier, I wasn't expecting for a Bernadette to come flouncing through singing "Everything's Comin' Up Roses" (or an Ethel Merman for that matter) but I thought it was enjoyable to watch. When I did a production of Guys and Dolls, we had football players come in for the Havana scene, so the plotline isn't so far-fetched. I wouldn't get the CD, but I enjoyed it.
I thought it was cute, tacky and campy. It was overall stupid. But I really enjoyed it. It had some brilliant little bits. It was well written, and had a decent plot for a Disney Cahnnel movie. The songs sound poppy and like that have been destroyed with computers, but it is Disney. Despite this some of the songs are cute.
Well the music was terrible...as could be expected...but i have to say it was a cute movie...the brother and sister i thought were hilarious....i dont know if any of you had ever watched this show on the WB called Summerland (it was only on for two seasons i think) i think the main guy in High School Musical was in it.
alphie boy, I agree with you. It was a nice watch and there were some interesting parts, and some not-so-interesting. In simple terms, it was your basic Disney tv-movie. I thought the singing was fine, considering it was made for TV. There wasn't any fantastic singing, but they weren't off-tune. It started off kind of corny, but it began to pull together. The plot is very cliche. As I was watching the movie, I thought, "I've seen this before." The script was weak, and some of the scenes were awkward. Their lip-syncing was terrible! However, their acting was decent and I have always been a sucker for the Romeo main characters. It was all around a pleasure, but nothing to get excited about.
Probably the best number in there is Stick To The Status Quo . The choreography was good, the choir was nice, the tune was catchy and it was very Broadway-esque.
And Zac Efron is adorable. I want to pinch his cheeks. If you're asking which cheeks, I haven't decided yet.
I watched it and thought it was cute. and to those of you who are saying i've seen this before yea in Grease...girl moves they met on vacation two different cliques cliche plot but cute.
Mark Loves His Scarf- First of all i love the name its hilarious. Second i agree with you about the song. Stick To The Status Quo. had great dancing....it was the only part of the movie you might see on broadway.
i watched it...i thought it was ok.it was little like Grease. anyone agree?
LilBwayLady, thank you. Yes, I can definitely see Status Quo on Broadway. And their lyrics was just so... what's the word? Good, but to the extent of corniness. I mean, the basketball player who liked to bake. That had me grinning for a while. But it's also kind of disturbing because it satirizes the concept of High School students having to be a certain label because society calls for it.
Disney going philosophical. Sociological. Somebody, release me.
And yes, I believe the.hard.part mentioned that it was somewhat like Grease, which I agree with, only modernized. So that's where the sense of deja vu came from. Thanks.

It was Carrie in movie-musical form... so absolutly bad it was good. If you look at it from a satrical point of view, it is spot on hillarious. They should have camped it up even more.
the lyrics were the WORST part, but again so abd they were good... "what's going on?/my head's in the game/but my heart's in the song"... oh my
