Welp, I just impulse-bought a ticket, and I ain't mad about it. I got the Berkeley Rep mailer recently, but hadn't had a chance to peruse it fully. I missed Stark in KB and TKAM (seeing the latter in October), so that certainly pushed me over the edge. Was able to get a great third row, center seat for the night AFTER opening night and I'll probably rent a car for the drive (5ish hours up the coast) and just make a weekend out of it.

Gallagher is a very fine actor and I do not understand (I am referencing film) why he does not work more. Perhaps it is a personal decision.

I also wonder the same, and I don't think it's by choice. When I've seen him play his music live recently, he's made comments about not having enough money to afford to live in Manhattan. Now I'm not sure how true that is, but I think it points to the idea that he's not getting the amount of work that he wants. He's a very nice guy and extremely talented, and I would guess it's just that he's in a grey area of stardom where he's not an up-and-comer anymore and he never really hit dinner-table stardom

I was trying to figure out when they worked together before, but then realized that I only ever saw American Idiot in Berkeley, and Sands replaced the guy in the out of town version when it came to Broadway...

I recently saw him on cable in a Jennifer Garner movie, I believe it was called Peppermint and I remember thinking I wonder why he does not work more? He was solid in the movie but I thought he deserved better.
