How are the Minskoff and marquis situated in their respective buildings?

The Marquis orchestra entrance is located on the 3rd floor of the Marriott Marquis. Stage door is at street level on 45th St so I’m not sure if the theater actually slopes down all the way to street level or if the cast has to come downstairs too.

The Minskoff requires you to take an escalator up to get to the orchestra theater entrance. I’m not sure if it’s one level or two. The stage door is also at street level and if you peek in, it does appear that a lot of action is happening right there. So perhaps some of the costumes are down there as well.

the 2 theatres in relation to each other are backwards in that the Marquis's stage backs onto times sq. the Minskoff's stage is inside the tower and their house backs onto times sq.

looking at cross sections of both, they are all pretty much above street level so not sure why it flooded, I am assuming it might be something to do with sprinklers going off?
