How have you lost tickets?

Once when I was walking over the Main Street bridge (in Jacksonville) on my way to a Brad Paisley concert, unknown to me, my three tickets, in the envelope, fell out of my jacket pocket and must have went into the water. When I arrived at the venue and realized it, my friends were pissed. (Even though they were receiving them free from me). Thankfully the box office issued three new ones at no charge.

I stopped by the box office to get a ticket for an evening show before going to a goodbye brunch. Without me knowing, I ended up putting the ticket in the gift bag than in my purse. On my way to the theater that evening, I get a call from my friend as she's in a cab to the airport, saying the gift of the ticket was really sweet but she thought I got the date wrong since that was that evening. Sheepishly, I said that I must have made a mistake and kept hers with me and gave her mine for that evening. So, when I got to the box office, I had them reprint my ticket and then ended up buying one for her when I knew she would be back in the city.

Luckily, it wasn't an expensive ticket but blah.

I've had two really close calls....

The first was in 2009 at the pre-Broadway tryout of American Idiot in Berkeley. My friend and I accidentally left our tickets in a cafe before the show. When we realized they were gone, we re-traced our steps back to the cafe and couldn't find them. Luckily, we happened to check the trash can just in case, and lo-and-behold, there they were, in the trash can, luckily right on top. Someone had actually thrown them away!!



The second cloee call was was just a couple months ago. I was finding a place to get lunch before heading to a matinee on Broadway, and dropped the ticket without realizing. While in search for a good place to eat, I decided to turn around and head back the way I came to search somewhere else. It wasn't until I saw the ticket on the ground on my way back that I realized I had even lost it in the first place. I'm lucky that (a) I decided to turn and go back, (b) that I took the same route back, including being on the same side of the street (c) that it was raining, so I had my head down toward the ground, which is why I spotted the ticket and (d) that nobody picked up the ticket in the meantime.

I never lost a ticket but I have forgotten them at home or in the hotel room before. Once one somehow fell onto a heater in my house and turned black. Thankfully the barcode was still there as was the row and seat I was in.

I lost my tix to Doubt tour when it came to SF and when I came back to box office...the lady wouldn't replace my ticket...so I had to buy another one.

I complained and thats when Shn started giving ticket receipts...in case you lose your ticket

Dollypop, I'm not sure if your comment was directed towards me, Jorge or both of us. However, they were in my jacket pocket and fell out. I have plenty of common sense. I have been very helpful and kind to you in the past. If you want to get into a read session with me, I promise you my comments will be far worse than Jordan ever was. Your choice?
