How is CRY-BABY's average ticket price $33.21?

My guess is that with the papering and the $54 orch seats discount for the previews.

Looks like all those Comps are bringing the Avg down. Lord, this show is just doomed.

Aren't they doing special preview prices. All seats are the same price I think. Like 55 bucks or something.

They do have some tickets for less than $54(like student tickets for $26.50 and rear mezz for like $35), and have probably been papering like crazy.

Comps are not included in the grosses.

Papering ought not to be figured into average ticket cost or be counted in the percentage either. The figures are based on tickets sold at any price except no-price.
The low price could reflect deep, very deep, discounts for groups, low-ball priced tix and if it shows up at TKTS that is only $27 per.
Any way that you look at it, the amount isn't much.

Papering IS factored into the average. Remember Susan Somers' $11.00 average?

Ah Suzanne Somers' show; good times!! To think her demographic was her QVC customers.

Maybe they are PAYING people to sit through this show.
Though I would ask for more than $33.21.

Someone who really didn't know any better. I'd demand my money back.

They are selling premium tickets for previews?? Yikes.

That's the top ticket PRICE not the price of the highest sold ticket.

The discount that is on broadwaybox that is valid through the 23rd isn't a discount, that's the regular selling price during previews. The actual discount code is valid for one month after opening.

OK, that makes me feel better!

Something tells me that the discount code will last through its entire run (which could very well end before Tony time, especially if they get ZERO nominations as expected).

Rob Ashford's choreography is deserving of a Tony nod.

I always move down at the Marquis. Nobody notices there. Different breed of ushers than the other houses.

"Different breed of ushers than the other houses"
I've seen ushers take pictures of people while sitting in their seats at the Marquis and this is a huge no-no at other theatres. Though I don't understand why. You're not taking a picture of the stage or anything copywrited. You're holding your camera at arms length and the most you're getting is the tops of your seats. Are seats now copywrited material?
