maybe 40-50. THat sounds about right.

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Actually on Broadway in New York, not London transfers or tours, I have only seen 7, but then again I have the excuse of living 3500 miles away and being just seventeen. But productions which originated on Broadway (such as The Producers, Millie, Rent), I can't even count. How many shows I've seen at the theatre is.. well into the 250+ mark.

Annie, Les Mis, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Sound of Music,(actually was that on b'way...that was when I was like 5...), Hairspray, Rent, 42nd Street, and Wicked.

The last four are definately most memorable...cause well I wasn't totally dieing or spazzing because I couldn't keep still for over an hour. Hey...15 years...my first one was when I was like 7 soooo go figure.

Hrrrrm...I got free tickets to Blue Man's group the other day...that was pretty exciting.

Um, only 3 (The Producers, The Frogs, and La Cage), but I'm new at this :). I've always travelled far away on vacations and such, and I live fairly close (about 6 hrs away), but this past summer I "discovered" NYC - and now I'm hooked. It's my new favorite playground!!!!!

Oh my god, some of you guys are sickly obsessed. I have seen 4 shows and 1 of-broadway show and 3 touring productions. Where do you guys get all the extra money to see Wicked 10 times? That's crazy. I love Wicked don't get me wrong, but 10 times in 2 years, you have too much extra time and money. Sorry.

Jarred...Don't get me wrong, I am far from rich and I didn't mean to sound prententious! Wicked was big for all my friends and I since I go to a Performing Arts High School in the city- I have actually payed full price only once! All of the other times-I won the lottery, went with friends who had extra tickets, and went with school who arranged field trips and offered ten dollar rear Mezz seats that TDF offered us.
I am certainly not a spoiled theatergoer- I find alternate ways to attend my favorite past time without paying one hundred dollars a pop- Student Rush, Lottery, TDF
And I work hard for the money!
Just wanted to clear up any confusion :)

Us older seasoned Broadway theatergoers could never list them all. I am with Mr. Roxy about 400 or so. DP wins the prize!!!

None, but I have seen several touring shows. I don't live near New York nor Toronto so I have to deal with the sucky non-equity tours. But that's all I need till I get older and move to New York!! Hopefully I'll audition for the latest revival and get cast as an understudy and it'll all me downhill from there. You'll see my name in lights someday, and when you do you'll think to yourself "What a lucky person". (I've always wanted to be an understudy)

I've seen around 25..Avenue Q will be my second time seeing it, and I saw "Arsenic and Old Lace" in London...and I've seen numerous non-Broadway theatrical productions.
I'm 15..so I hope this number will greatly increase. :)

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

I've seen 35 Broadway shows, but if you count repeated viewings, the number goes up to 49. I wish I had the money to see more!

Yeah, I'm sorry Rusty for sounding so rude. I wasn't thinking about that stuff when I posted. I love Wicked so if I lived in the city and had the oppurtunity for $10 tickets or free tickets, I would jump at the chance also. Actually, I am hopefully going to be going to school in NYC come October and I'm trying to save as much money as possible before then, because I will spend so much money on musicals and plays, not to mention all the concerts, clubs, and movies. I'm gonna go broke in the first month I'm there.lol

Since my first Broadway show - THE KING AND I with Yul Brynner in 1977, I have seen 146 Broadway musicals and 65 plays (including a few off-Broadway plays.) This is based on titles only. Some shows I have seen more than once.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
