I thought this might be cute since I went to go see The Wedding Singer for the 5th time this past weekend. So, I ask...how many times have you guys seen some of your favorites on broadway/off broadway: Here is my list:
Wedding Singer: 5 times
Rent: 4 times on broadway; 2 tour productions (hershey and washington)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: 3 times
Wicked: 3 times (all with OBC)
Jersey Boys: 2 times
and...I am getting tickets to see Grey Gardens for the second time in about 2 weeks! Can we say ADDICTION!
For me, three is my limit. I've seen a bunch of shows three times: Rent, Les Miserables, A Chorus Line (Original), Chicago (Revival), Aida, Drowsy Chaperone, Spelling Bee, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, etc. However, to the best of my recollection I haven't seen anything a fourth time.
Oh boy. I will readily admit to seeing my favorites multiple times. My top three:
Hairspray - 31
Altar Boyz - 29
Spelling Bee - 10
I know there are others on here though that can beat those numbers.
Avenue Q- 6
Hairspray- 4
Forbidden Broadway- 61 (Over 23 years)
Martin Short- 4
Jay Johnson- 5
Drowsy Chaperone- 2

Wicked: 3
Phantom: 2
Spelling Bee: 2
And I've mostly just tried seeing different shows than the same!
Spelling Bee 10 times huh? I thought that one was a good one too...very cute!! 10 times!! wow! I am impressed here. And is forbidden broadway really that good, have not checked that out at all yet?
RENT - I think I'm on 42, counting Broadway & tours.
Other than that I'm in the single digits.
I've seen Drowsy Chaperone 5 times and I thought that was impressive.
RentHead2, I highly recommend Forbidden Broadway. I had heard of it for years but never had the desire to see it. I went on a whim and loved it. It's hilarious! And the show changes every few weeks/months because there is always something new on Broadway to poke fun at.
I need to get back to Drowsy soon. Troy was out the night I saw it. But that lotto is hard to win!
I have seen LES MIZ 11 (I would have gone more if I could have)times and PHANTOM 13. AIDA 3 times. CHICAGO 9 times.
I have seen LES MIZ 11 (I would have gone more if I could have)times and PHANTOM 13. AIDA 3 times. CHICAGO 9 times.
Wicked 9
The Light in the Piazza 7
Sweet Charity (revival) 6
The Pajama Game (revival) 5
Well some of us don't live anywhere close to any proffesional shows/theatres, and some of us can't afford it which is the truth. But I've seen Wicked twice (Chicago and Bway). And that's a record for me.

I saw Sweeney Todd 7 times, Rent 5 times, and I find this a sad fact to disclose, the Drowsy Chaperone 4 times in 2 weeks.....easy lotto apparently.
Sweeney Todd-8
Gypsy-6
They are my two favorite shows including Ragtime (which I saw when I was 10) so its fitting that I saw them the most.
Stand-by Joined: 10/16/06
wedding singer 34 times
evil dead 3 times
everything else ive seen only once
The only show I've seen more than once so far was Les Mis, which I saw twice.

Cats 3 times (all the same recent Troika tour)... Now, if you thought twice was already enough.
Once as a 'concert version'
Another time as a refund ticket
Then, one last time as the part of Broadway/LA season..
I saw Sweeney seven times, Aida five. I've seen Rent eight times and the Company revival six, counting the one in Cincinnati.
I refuse to disclose my highest number. Some of you know it, but looking back, it is nothing but embarassing. It's not even all that high compared to many people here -- it just barely reaches the double digits, but the combination of the number and the show just... makes me feel ridiculous.
