I considered going to the flea market in Shubert Alley this year, but being a student with low disposable income, I wanted to hear from people who've been there if there are items for sale that are <$15 each?

Yes, there are many things under $15. Playbills, shirts, memorabilia, books, cds. The later in the day you go, the cheaper things are.
There are things there for a quarter. Not good things but they have stuff.

This is gonna be my first time going, and I can't wait!
Almost anything. There are some places where its 5 playbills for a dollar. I got a t-shirt and a hat and several posters for $1 each. You just have to get there early and look around at everything. I got a ridiculous amount of stuff (had to make 4 trips from midtown back to my dorm) and spent less than $40. The most expensive thing I bought was a large poster that was $15.
Hopefully it'll be my fIRST TIME TOO!
Don't they also sell (a.k.a suggest donations) for autographs with stars that may be there? I remeber someone telling me they did that.
^ You have to pay in order to get the autograph.
Usually things get super cheap in the last hour. I got a bunch of stuff for $.50/$1. I bought a headband at the WSS table for $0.50, necklaces at TLM table for $0.50. They had a set of four Playbill tumblers at the Playbill table for $1.
The autograph table is $25 for the whole table with 2 items per celeb. The photo booth is $10 a photo unless otherwise specified (Chita and Bernadette were $40 a piece). You can also offer more money for a special pairing (I got Jason and Marin together last year) or for someone who's not being requested much (one person asked for John Glover last year).
Sweet, are there normally alot of people at the table? Are there regulars who are there every year?
There are a lot of people at the table, but they're not all there at once. They have groups of people there for 50 minutes at a time, and rotate them out every hour. They post the list on the Broadway Cares website beforehand, so you can figure out which hours you would be most interested in paying for.
I'm excited. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it this year, but I'm working out my schedule and it looks like I'll be there! It'll be my fourth flea market.

Last year there was also this table that had playbills for 10 for a dollar. I got a bunch of amazing playbills there, like a playbill (with the ticket stub inside) from the record breaking performance of A Chorus Line.
Last year they were handing out "DRACULA, the musical" and "Urinetown" hats for free!
I cannot wait to drag my mother to this. I'll make sure I have about $50 on me ($25 for assorted crap and $25 for the autograph table).
Are all of the Playbills of old shows, or do they have recent ones too (like 2000 on)?

Everything is mixed. It really depends on the table. Like I got one from the "Into the Woods" revival, but I also got one from "Cats" from the 1980s.
how far before hand do they put the list of who's there?

Just to clarify, the $25 for the table is for ONE of the hours. If you want people in different hours, it's $25 per hour - so say there were three people you wanted, but they were in three different shifts, you would have to pay $75 to get all of them.
I'd think we'll start seeing preliminary lists of the table and auction items soon on the BC/EFA site.
I'm praying Bernadette is there this year. I have several windowcards I'd LOVE her to sign but prefer to do it there so I can get her entire signature instead of the "B-" you get at the stage door. Hopefully I can bring a friend or two with me and pay for them to go through so I can get her to sign my windowcards for INTO THE WOODS, SUNDAY IN THE PARK, MACK & MABLE, A MOTHERS KISSES, ON THE TOWN and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.

Lots of stuff will be available for less than $15. I bought the LuPone-Cerveris Sweeney Todd Souvenir program for $3 last year.
I spent about $350 last year and got a ton of stuff. I think the most I spent on any one item was $25 for the DROWSY CHAPERONE price scale from the marquis box office. I still don't know where to put it.

Last year was my first time going. I got a bunch of bigger things and spent about $150.
Jordan Catalano--Bernadette was there last year...I hope she does it again.
Since it sounds like there are going to being tables full of playbills for sale, I need to clear out some space.
