$90 to stand for almost 3 hours is ridiculous. For that price, you should be given some sort of seat to sit in.
I paid $27 to stand and see Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury in a much smaller theater. I wouldn't mind standing for $40 or under, but $90 is absurd.

That can't be right. Are you sure the $90 wasn't for partial view SEATS?
I wasn't there, so I'm not positive. But she's not an idiot and definitely knows the difference between a seat and SRO.
I never said someone was an idiot. But it seems it could have been a simple mixup of words. Even non idiots do that from time to time.
Oh, I didn't mean to imply that you called anyone anything. Again, I wasn't there so I can't 100% confirm that there wasn't a mix-up, but knowing my sister, she probably didn't mistake a seat for SRO. That's all.
I'm going to try to rush the show over Memorial Day weekend, and will probably have to get there at 7:00. I'm grateful they offer any kind of rush period, though, so I shouldn't complain!
Rushed Wednesday for the night show and I got there just before 8 and was about 20th in the line. I got row E 13 and 15, partial views. I'm glad I got to see it but those seats are most definitely are partial view. I missed half of the moving set piece in the back, and to give you an idea, my friend next to me had to tell me about the WWW sign in the background. Hopefully I'll go back and get a better seat. I really enjoyed it though. John Larroquette is great!
There is no way they are selling SRO for $90. Someone is mistaken.

When harry connick jr did his show I think the SRO was $50
and I remember when WSS was at the Palace SRO was around $47 in the orchestra
So $90 for How to Succeed isn't THAT far off

No, that's very far off. That's almost double.
I hope SRO isn't $90! I'm heading to NYC May 7-11 and one of my friends has her heart set on seeing this show and she's willing to get up as early as it takes. What's been a good time for a Sunday matinee rush lately? Would getting there at 8 be too late? Should we plan on getting there earlier?

I was first in line at 8am recently. It was only at about 9:40 (still the only one in line) that I realised there's no show on Mondays. A great moment in my life. (In my defense, there was a little Broadway guide that said they did Monday shows)
The following Wednesday, my boyfriend called into the box office after 10am and got two in Row B Orchestra. This was two weeks ago.

I rushed last Tuesday; Got there at 6:30 am and was first in line! The next person didn't show up till 7am. When the box office opened, the lady asked what time I had arrived that morning, and when I told her she gasped and said she'd be sure to try and find something good for me. How nice! I ended up getting front row left, directly on the aisle - GREAT seats!! Yeah, I missed some of the stuff that happened directly above me (The office set), but I honestly didn't mind - most of the show was perfect.
It's funny, I remember doing student rush for WONDERFUL TOWN back in the day and getting the same seats!

I rushed on Saturday morning. Got there at 8:30. My group of 3 all got seats (for evening), as did the 5 people behind us, and the box office didn't show any signs of running out of tickets by the time we left. Not sure how many were ahead of us because everyone crammed under the ledge to get out of the rain. Seats were perfectly fine - end of row H, stamped as partial view but only missing the couple of scenes when Biggley/Jones are on the second level. Really enjoyed the show - great energy and solid performances all around.
Bumping this thread up again to ask if anyone rushed this past Sunday. I'm rushing this upcoming Sunday witha friend and still trying to determine if I should get there earlier than 8 to be safe. Thanks!
I am going to try to go early this Sunday. What time does the box office actually open?
I believe the Hirschfeld box office opens at noon on Sundays.
