I love Gwen Verdon as Charity.

Yet to hear Christina so I cannot comment, but I do enjoy her as an actress.

Yeah I loved her as Kelly Bundy, but I havent see her yet. Her performance at the Tonys was ummmmmm terrible, but anywho, maybe she was just of that night, look at Idina and Aretha. (But I also heard her from Musicnet and Broadway.com and I didnt really like her either. w/e Ill just have to see her in person, she seems to want it really bad and good for her.)

Great! I loved it, too! People completely overexaggerate about Christina's voice; it's really not as atrociously awful as everyone makes it out to be.

It is difficult to remember any actress that was good when she had to carry an entire song at the Tonys. It seems to be a curse or something. Nobody seems to be able to do it. Men and ensambles seem to pull it off, but not women.

The show was wonderful and so was she. Why do a lot of people judge her just on Married With Children. She has trained for the theatre. She is a wonderful dancer and her voice is just fine. I saw it in May and plan to see it again this fall when I am back in NYC.

Hello thats because of the performances at the tonys sucked. This years tonys were not a good representation of any of the shows on broadway. It was a sad display. I even felt bad for spamalot and I don't even like that show.

i think the outfits and the settings were terrible and the performers were just ok...the star of the show is the wonderful story.

It's too bad they felt that they had to digitalize her voice on the TV spots - they really overdid it and she sounds mechanical.

I went into Sweet Charity not expecting much because I didn't really like Christina's Tony performance, but I was surprised. I thought she was incredible. Maybe I saw her on a really good night, but at times I actually really liked her voice. It has the same raspy quality as Gwen Verdon had, so I felt it worked for the character. Her dancing was great and her charisma alone won me over.

I agree with what everyone else was saying. I wasn't expecting much - but I left thinking she was FABULOUS. To say her performance is on the level of High School or Community Theatre - is so false. Christina has fantastic acting skills - and she has trained in dancing for many years. Her mother is also a singer, and father a record producer - I would think she knows a little bit about singing.

She was completely Tony worthy - and if Piazza didn't happen this year - Christina would've had that award.

I love this production. I also love Christina as Charity. She definately exceeded expectations.
