I miss the Wedding Singer as well: someone fill me in on when this is coming to the Baltimore/DC area. Seeing this one on Broadway 5 times apparently wasn't enough.
For anyone interested in the sheet music, sheetmusic.com now has the opening # available for download. They usually have these about a week or two before retail so the whole vocal selections book may be on it's way.

Didn't mean to offend, but the only Non-Equity tours I've seen have been seriously lacking some talent. That's not to say that the entire cast was horrible, but some of them were just plain bad (The recent RENT tour...). Maybe Wedding Singer will change my mind, we'll see. And if the tour is going Non-Equity, I doubt they'll use the Broadway sets. At least they won't have the automated sets.
RentHead2: It will be at the Hippodrome in Spetember:

Why do you guys feel the need to see a show like The Wedding Singer more than once? Talk about having money to burn...
I saw it once, I enjoyed it. Sure, it was fun and cute but I felt no need to see it again. I would much rather see another show than see The Wedding Singer again and again. Or do something better with my money, like... idk... donate to charity...
Why is The Wedding Singer such a cult hit? I appreciate it as a show that was fun to see, but I think it's entirely more appropriate for the high school stage than Broadway.
I don't miss the Wedding Singer on Broadway. At all. In fact, I can't wait until amateur rights are released. It would be awesome to do in youth theatre or at school...
I miss the Wedding Singer! It was a "feel good" show and so much fun. I loved every second of it, I wish it was still on Broadway .

Awww, I miss Wedding Singer. It was just a lot of fun to go see, and it's weird to think that it's closed and I can't just go up to NY to see it if I want to.
Is there a comprehensive list anywhere of all the tour dates? My parents get season tickets in Hershey every year, but haven't received the order form and list of what's coming yet. I'm kind of anxious to see if it'll come here or not.
"Why do you guys feel the need to see a show like The Wedding Singer more than once?"
Now Im intrigued to know, how many times did you guys see "The Wedding Singer"
I know that iluvtheatretrash saw the show many times, to see his friend/idol Laura Benanti. He is probably the one that saw it the most times.
I saw it twice - once with Laura Benanti and once with Tina Maddigan. Both were great.
I miss the show as well, very talented cast, and the show was just so much fun to see!
I saw Wedding Singer 3 times and listened to the cast album thousands of times probably. I had a great time, each time I saw it, and am glad to have seen both Laura and Tina play the role of Julia. I loved them both. I also loved Felicia, who totally blew me away. Lynch was awesome!!!! As a side note, I also saw Lynch's comedy show 3 times and had a blast at those as well. For me, seeing Wedding Singer and Lynch's comedy tour was money well spent!
Actually, there was this one girl who saw the show well over 100 times. She's the one that did that with Urinetown and is now approaching a similar number at Spring Awakening.
Do you guys know who I'm talking about? She'll be at a certain show like 3 nights a week?
I mean, I'm the sort of person who will see a show repeatedly, but even I have to say I've never come close to a number like that.
I only saw it once.
But loved it.
I saw Tina as Julia.
Loved it!
And miss it.
to respond to the "how many times did you see it?" bit, i saw it 3 awesome times
i was going to see the closing show, but i had GREY GARDENS tickets that day, and i couldnt sell tickets to my 2nd favorite show ive ever seen :P
but those 3 times were pretty shweet.

I saw Wedding Singer twice, one time each with Tina and Laura as Julia.
Also, since Lynch's comedy has been brought up, it was funny to see the little additions to his show since TWS closed. He now does some Broadway bits about how he hasn't changed since doing TWS and even a Sondheim medley that was very funny. Definitely money well spent like pharmer said (although luckily, it never cost me much either.)

I saw it twice... Tina Maddigan and Stephen Lynch & Laura Benanti and Kevin Kern. I know it wasn't the best show and it was tacky but I really loved it, it was SO much fun and the cast was fantastic, I can't wait to see it on tour! Hopefully this cast has the energy the broadway cast did.

i am so jealous you got to see Kevin Kern with Laura. I only saw him a few times with Tina.
I saw it 12 including the closing performance. I really enjoyed it--made a lot of friend through it and its a show ill always keep dear to me. It wasnt the best but I never left there without a smile on my face.
