I was thrilled when I got word Tina Maddigan was scheduled to go on again as Julia. Thank you anonymous source!
The last time I saw the show, Tina was simply wonderful. I didn't think she could get any better. Well, I was wrong! Tina has completely defined her character. Any little "nervousness" was totally gone. From the moment she enters, you can't help but fall in love with the girl with golden hair. And, Robbie Hart did just that. The chemistry between Stephen Lynch was intoxicating. They're really great together. You could tell they were having a ball up there. I also loved her interaction with Richard Blake.
For those that say she's not quirky enough in the role, I have to disagree. She's certainly not a plain vanilla ice cream cone. She's a friggin' banana split with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, chopped walnuts and a big maraschino cherry on top!
The entire cast was right on the money. Special nods to Amy, Felicia, Kevin and Tracee who rocked the roof off! The audience went wild when Tina and Stephen came out during bows. Stephen whispered something to Tina. You could tell they were both on cloud 9.
I really hope everyone has the opportunity to catch Tina in this role. You'll get addicted!

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher
