in August. I'm sorry for this thread as I know many people don't like them but I really am looking for some input.
This is like...a family kind of thing and this is all different ages.
Here are the ages...
22
31
55
61
86
I know it's a wide spread of ages and thus, it will make it quite difficult to pick a show. We are looking for a musical.
We REALLY wanted to do Jersey Boys but we only have 2 days that are possible and basically, Jersey Boys just isn't going to work.
The best seats available are in row X and are 116$ and that's not going to fly- my grandma is paying for all of us.
Here are shows that are out of the picture either because they have been seen or there is no interest.
Mary Poppins
Chorus Line
Tarzan
Spring Awakening
Avenue Q (we went to see that last year- lol)
Hairspray
Les Miz
The Drowsy Chaperone
Spelling Bee
Company
Mamma Mia!
I know that really narrows things down.
Any new shows?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lion King my grandma wants to see but 3 of us already saw it.
Phantom I don't think they'd go for.
Wicked...eh? I saw that and wasn't thrilled. I don't think my grandma will go for that. I'll ask though
No Producers. Anything about Hitler is a no-no
Color Purple...I'll have to ask about
Apple Tree I'll have to look into- will that still be running?
Curtains and Grey Gardens...I'll look into but I don't thinks so...
Thanks guys! More ideas are welcome and appreciated!

Posted: 1/21/07 at 3:42pmwell why take ideas you're shooting them all down, why don't you just look at all the shows narrow it down to a little list yourself and then ask us which one you should from that list or something

You haven't looked into them yet, yet still say "you don't think so." Well, so much for being receptive to suggestions.

I'd say Curtains is definitely good for the older half of your party, and your best bet at a show you'll all enjoy (if Drowsy is indeed out of the picture).
Yep. Curtains is the safe bet.
Or Grey Gardens if your family is a little quirky.
All the best shows are in the "no interest" category.

Hm...the only thing I can think of would be "Wicked".
Unless your grandma would go for "Legally Blonde"

110 In The Shade would be a good choice. I know it opens in May but, will it still be open in August? It will probably extend if possible but, if it is still running it would be a good choice. It doesn't get any better than Audra!
