The weather is getting colder, it's getting darker earlier and I have been missing Kerry, Mary, Cheyenne, Andre, Jackie, Kenita, and Curtis. It's too bad Xanadu couldn't have been moved off-Broadway like Avenue Q. It was the one show that was total escapism for me. I'm really missing it lately. Seeing some clips on a certain site only make me miss it more. I even worry that the tour I will be seeing will only make me miss the hysterical Broadway cast all the more. Is there anyone else missing the muses? I love Xanadu.
Actually, I never saw Patti...but yes I love Patti too...sorry for any oversights. I miss Annie, Tony, Marty too.....XOXO
Betty, I made a post similar to this earlier this summer - I know what you mean.
I was just lounging around one Wednesday thinking how nice it would be to catch the matinee.
OH HOW I MISS THE 'DU.
It comes on my iPhone and suddenly I feel very happy then I realize that it's no where near me and I miss the Broadway production so much.
millie, I totally understand. Several times in NYC I would duck into a Xanadu matinee. Once when it was raining, I just bought a last minute seat and it totally transformed my mood. Another trip, I actually left a boring conference and went to Xanadu. It was such a magical show.
But hey on the bright side Kerry Butler and Cheyenne Jackson are both back on Broadway.
Miss it like crazy !!! Actually went by the theatre last night to see some of the ushers. It was a great time each time I saw the show.
Saw Kerry last night as well--- and dont forget, Andre and James are in "ROA" as well---- Its like a little "Xanadu" reunion.

Most entertaining show I've seen during the last ten years -- saw it 15 times (no record setter, I know), but I really miss it and feel sad every time I pass the Helen Hayes.
I miss Xanadu too. I went with three people who aren't really into theater and they had a blast. Sitting on stage was one of the most fun experiences at a show I've ever had.
sorry - double post! Updated On: 9/18/09 at 11:37 PM
I know it's not entirely the same but I miss Xanadu in Chicago! I know the tour is going out soon but I wish it could have stayed here longer. I also wish our weekend trip in '08 could have included a 2nd viewing of the Broadway production. Alas.
I loved every minute of this show. I saw it once on Broadway, and about six times here in Chicago. It's a pity the show didn't last longer here.
::Moment of silence for Xanadu::
Testing..I know what you mean, I still chat with some of the ushers on Myspace. What a fun bunch of people both the actors and ushers alike! That show was just silly happiness for 90 mins. I miss it dearly.I'm happy that we still get to see all of them in other shows, but it's not the same.
Yep... saw John, Margaret, and Bird the other day--- miss them SOOO much !!! It was right after I saw Kerry, so was only fitting that had to drop by the Hayes.
There was nothing like sitting on stage at "Xanadu" !!!!

hi just think you can lisen to xanadu cast cd anytime cry baby i cannot listen to because they have no cast cd made.
"Hi. Just think, you can *listen to *the Xanadu cd anytime." I couldn't make out the rest.
MISSING THE DU!!!
Actually, to be honest, I never felt the Xanadu OCR captured the electric energy of the show and to me the band sounds flat on the disc, not as thrilling as it was during the performance.
