Posted: 6/29/05 at 2:48pmHello! I live in florida and my parents just told me that we might try to make a trip into new york for the end of july. I am going to get to see 4 shows and I kinda have a good idea of what I want to see but suggestions would be awesome. I have already seen Avenue Q, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and I love you, You're perfect, now CHANGE!. I am thinking about seeing The 25th annual putnam county spelling bee, spamalot, the light in the piazza and the producers. My question is how hard is it to get tickets to these shows about 2 weeks before them? Or even a week before them. Its just that we are not sure if we are going so I can't order the tickets this soon. Are there any shows you can get tickets for about 3 days before? Thanks so much sorry I have so many questions im just so excited!

Spamalot is going to be almost impossible to get tickets for.
See Sweet Charity instead! The only show nominated for Best Musical Revival that is still standing.

Posted: 6/29/05 at 6:42pmi would suggest RENT or Light in the Piazza, you can ususally get tickets at the tkts booth for those shows, and many others, including hairspray and sometimes DRS

I tried to get tickets for Spamalot 2 months in advance, and I couldn't find a seat

Posted: 6/29/05 at 7:13pmGet on Telecharge and just keep looking all the time for Spamalot tickets for each of the days you're going to be in NY. I did that and never got anything. Then one day a ticket magically showed up in the orchestra on one of the days I wanted. People cancel their tickets and the first one there can grab them up! You might not all be able to go, but at least one or two of you can while the others go to another show.
