Posted: 5/23/13 at 2:31pmI think Patti was supposed to star as Gozer in the musical adaptation of Ghostbusters. Nothing ever came of it though.

Kirstie Alley also had a lovely figure around this time as well....

It's kind of a shame that there wasn't a film version of Evita made soon after the Broadway production opened (within a few years, I mean).
Patti was really photogenic and perfect for it, back then. It could have been another Streisand in Funny Girl moment on the big screen if some studio had had the guts to do it.
Ah, well.
Great photos.

Posted: 5/23/13 at 5:32pmI recently watched the Tony clip of Patti performing Anything Goes again and she looked STUNNING. I was thinking the exact same thing as Besty at the time about the Lincoln Center revival of Anything Goes.

That Tony performance of Anything Goes was one of my first Broadway obsessions at a really young age. It catapulted me into theatre. And would it be heretical of me to say that I much prefer the '88 choreography over Kathleen Marshall's? The 2011 choreo just seemed sort of....bloated to me. But then again I never saw it live so I can't judge.

We all had good figures in the 80s. And our pupils were bigger than Patti's.
